Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

13:11,,, The Buffalo has landed.

That went WAY smoother than I thought it would, and yes, I has a couple skinned knucks, and shed some blood to the small gods of wrenches and mechanical things,,,,

BUFFALO IS ROADABLE AGAIN!!!!!

I’m jumpin in the shower for what looks like a three-round session with at least one full bar of soap: I am shade-tree gross in road muck and 80-90. (that whole backend was SOAKED in the whale sperm goop. Some of the nastiest smelling goop,,,blech! )

More later as I get things back together for my day to day (I did not install the hitch at this time,,, Got to that point and three of the bolts were fighting and I was flying on my progress and didn’t want to F it up. It can wait for a later date.)

Those wrench & mechanical gods can be mighty de-manding, cain’t they?😖 Yer “three round session” sounds like summa mine, ‘specially when working on a diff!🤪

    • Had a Fiat with her own personal blood lust, like those gods,,, If I didn’t bleed, even just changing oil, she would be broke down within 24 hours. Blood thirst eye-tallian witch she were.

      • When I bought my last one, it had a full selection of shims in a box, in the rear boot. I found out A LOT about shims and boots,,, That was the one I did the multi-carb and custom header for. Real screamer for a 1.5L. She was also the bloodthristy one, and the one that taught me “fast cheap or reliable: choose 2 but there is no third”

I ran a Weber 2B downdraft on mine. Did a lot of porting and polishing on the head too. Welded up my own headers , with four individual super traps.
Yup there was a choice of only two options , but if you did all your own work and machining . You could have good and cheap , but never fast except on the track .
