Race tomorrow. Start time for my age group is 9:25,,, 12 miles downriver: shouldn’t take more than 3 hours for all participants, but the serious racers are gonna wrap it up in around 1 (3 years ago, they had one do the 12 miles in 40 minutes,,, Thats cooking with gas bro!!!)

as for me, still feeling the cruds, and when I checked water levels today, decided that I will be taking BJ instead of Lizzy: river flow is still below 600cfs and that means shoals will be exposed, and I have NO DESIRE to rip the bottom out of a fiberglass boat, in a race that has only a $150 cashprize up for grabs. BJ is that tough double lined Polyethalyne hide and bounces of rocks (as I found out quite well on the Elkhorn,,LOL) With the way I am feeling, I have no illusions as to how hard I can push, but I am going to go and push some since 1) I paid for the priveledge and 2) maybe getting out and doing something will help more than the holing up and suffering thing,,,,
