Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

fevered meandering

left the J.O.B. early, felt like utter shit, head feeling like its about to launch like a weather balloon and achy muscles,,,

Been al of stink about NawYohk going full green-weenie over the last week or so.  Not that they can accomplish this overnight, it takes time to build the ‘renewables’,

I have said it a time or two,,, renewables are fine on SMALL SCALE,,,  As in, solar and wind/water for homestead that has a fairly steady energy draw.   Fairly steady meaning that daytimet is going to draw the least amount and there will be a battery bank to absorb the excess from the daytime when the solarpanels are kicking it in high gear.

Talking about the water, so few locations have easy access to 24/7 flows that unless you hit the lottery in your property purchase, its not even worth talking about the details of that collection method.

As for wind, you have two versions that are the pinnacle of the industry currently: VAWT and HAWT…. Vertical axis Turbine or Horizontal axis turbine.   I am starting to lean towards the VAWT design since it is much less influenced by turbulence in sketchy winds.   It may be that its not as effecient (as a direct drive system, IMO) but efficiencies can be accounted for in the design.

and ho-boy, the plethora of designs out there,,,

Short power runs, smaller battery banks, field serviceable units (other than solar panels which are replacement only): these things make renewables USABLE, you start trying to add intermittent sources to a steady state grid profile (it isn’t but does need the ability to adapt production to demand, intermittent don’t ‘Do that’.) you are just tossing sand in the gearbox of the civilized world. And grifting a lot of cash away from the gullible,,,,

Me thinks its by design,,,    Not by those hollering “save mama-earth’, but by the arms behind the institutions that taught the bleeding hearts.   Why would they do that?   CONTROL.   Dependent people are controllable, (that whole feeding the bears thing.). (yes its also a sales pitch, but the message is valid). Energy dependent we are,,,   Have been for decades.   IMO, thats why the push to kill the oil wells, gas wells, and coal, even going so far as to use myth and fear to kill off the Nuke sites,,,    (New York recenlty shuttered thier last nuike plant,,,). Said same institutions don’t encourage critical thinking either, so the gullible portion grows.

Little history on me here.  While touring, I was introduced to an electric vehicle, one home built (this was before Tesla really took storm) and fell in love with the power aspects.   Full torgue at zero RPM; the danged thing felt like a rocket to me.   THEN, I started researching them,,,,    Like all ‘renewables’, the storage system is the weak link, period, end debate.  Until we have some energy storage system that is as quick to replace as sticking a pump handle in a fuel tank, we are never going to be able to rely on the electric grid for transportation.   The motive means are there, the storage is NOT.  Look for an exploded view of a Tesla and look at the battery bank, check out its specs: how many KWh, Amps it can produce, and then, IT’S WEIGHT.    Hp to weight ratios may tell you a bit about where we need to focus our attention IF we are to go this route, but I don’t see it without a MAJOR breakthrough in electric storage.   Obviously, I don’t have my finger on the pulse of research in this field, but I do catch blurbs around the nets saying ” we figured it out” and then crickets as they can’t reproduce what they claimed, or can’t they pattern it for scale production.  And oh lord, the number of perpetual motion machines that keep popping up,,,    I look at them and see the flaws that make the neme a lie, and wonder why these things keep coming back to the surface,,,  Falling average IQ of the population is all I can figure; That, and a craptastic education system.    The biggest flaw:You can’t create energy,,,  and a closed system can only ‘make’ enough to keep running (for a time; friction of parts, air, etc.  also known as ENTROPY, shoots the concept in the foot right out of the gate.), not power other things as well, and THAT kills the whole idea.   (that whole ‘can’t create energy’ thing is what hangs people up.  Most don’t understand that building a fire is NOT creating energy, its releasing it from its stored form.  A wood fire is just releasing stored sunshine through a chemical process,,,,    Sorry, I know y’all know this,,,   I’m fevered and not all here today,,,,)

enough rambling from the sick grumpy cuss today.   I’m gonna do a shot and go back to bed (now that I changed my sheets ,,,   so I can do it again later on, eh?  LOL)

  1. Grandpa & business partner took a Model T (or A) chassis and put an electric motor and a lead-acid battery bank in it. They could get it to next town & back on one charge – but they had a MASSIVE “shop charger” that could charge every battery in the bank simultaneously, which was an Achievement for the day. They had it for a while and eventually sold it to a local battery shop – and had NO issue buying, owning, using “gas buggies” the rest of their lives.

Somewhere, I have a _photostat_ (NOT photocopy) of the title of that vehicle.

Sucks coming down with sumthin this timeayear! I hereby decree: Get thee thine ass well – quick!😎

“Me thinks its by design,,, Not by those hollering “save mama-earth’, but by the arms behind the institutions that taught the bleeding hearts. Why would they do that? CONTROL.” Everything these ASSHOLES (both parties – GOP’s & DemonRats both – yeah they’re the Uniparty, not a spit worth of difference) do is for that one purpose.

    All the rest – 👌👍

Y’all take care – and get well,
