THAT song right there,,,, That was playing in my head the day I had to defend myself from irate football players. Two days in-school suspension and it was worth it because they were to and I got to see how miserable they were for getting bested by ‘the geek’,,,, Funny how getting your head slammed in a locker door gets your attention,,, (not mine, what I did to another,,) and all because they were too busy getting high in the parking lot and I convinced ALL of their girlfriends to go canoeing the next day WITHOUT THEM,,, LOL Of course, I was invited,,, And thats what started the whole deal,,,,,

I was never a ‘BIG’ guy,,, Hell, I was three years into the Corps and still topped out at 145, skinny as a rail, but solid everywhere, but I was fast, had endurance and did I mention fast?

and I was smart. I knew what was coming and made sure that they THOUGHT they had the upper hand, but in a hallway where the Teachers were compadres, and there were tons of empty lockers for abusing skulls.

And the damned thing about it,,, I ended up mentoring one of those football players while he was getting of the coke,,, Yeah, we had a bit of a problem with that shit in my days,,, I won’t go into MY PREFERENCE (lsd,,, cough,,, pharmacutical grade made on the campus of UC,,, cough cough,,,)

Growing up in the 80’s was ‘interesting’ to say the least. Being sent as the un-announced chaperon for my sisters and totally ignoring all the stuff they were doing,,, going off on my own after they left school and home to do ‘their thing’, Getting drunk on 2 liters of Bartle and James wine coolers after work at Micky D’s and literally crawling up a hill to get home because we were so fucked up,,,, We grew up fast, and we LEARNED how to be human and NOT monsters, even though we had every chance of being that very thing.

MTV that actually played music videos for phucks-sake,,,, (is there even an MTV anymore, I don’t know, nor really care since they went that whole ‘real life schtick’ and fucked everything up,,)

and the scary part, even the kids of today are finding that OUR MUSIC is heads and shoulders BETTER than the crap being spun these days (I do find exceptions, mostly in INDY stuff, and interestingly enough, you can hear the 80’s influences,,,)

we were so independent compared to the kids I see these days. and I wonder WHY? why are the people that grew up around me being helicopter parents? Why are they so “LIbtarded”? and the only thing I can figure was that my generation was the college boomtime,,, and the Institutions were already over-run by Marxists phuktards,,,, Of course that had to rub off even a little bit,,,

Hearing this stuff makes me wish we could go back to that time,,,, And a friend has told me that life in Russia, NOW, is VERY like that time period,,,,Not that I WANT to go to Russia, but dammit man, I want that FREEDOM back, not having to worry about what Karen is going to take offense at my saying she looks nice, or what genderfluid peice of shit is going to take offense at my holding a door for what I thought was a “lady”,,,,

WE age, life goes on, and you can NEVER go home,,, You have to make home where you are now,

SO I am making my home sound like its 40 flippin years in the past tonight, and trying to get that VIBE and ZEST I had for being alive then, back, And wearing the vocal chords out just a wee bit,,,,
