OMGOMG, We’s all gonna DIE!!!
(Delayed post from b4 Christmas)
Yup, every single stinking one of us and all of our experiances and opinions and bad morning breath,,,
I used to jokingly (semi-seriously) that “we are born with a terminal disease called life”
But for most of us, today is not THAT day. Maybe not even tomorrow, or the next,
but someday, somewhere, that spark that makes us HUMAN is going to flutter, and fade, and the vehicle we have become accustomed to is going to be just another pile of biological hazards that needs disposed of in some way. We may have some fantabulous ritual we wish those that survive us to do to the remains, or we (like my dad ) wish only to have it hauled off to the incinerator and whats left to be scattered in the hills that he came from.
We are all gonna die, and I don’t think there is a single soul in the world that can tell you with a straight face they KNOW the purpose of their birth. Oh, they may have ‘found’ a purpose in life, and thats a wonderful thing, but WHY did they decide to visit this playground? The two most important points in your life: the day you were born and the day you find out WHY. And no, I don’t believe we are chance creations, just wandering around this rock trying to make sense of it all. I think we are solidified energy that is here to learn some lesson, or polish up some lesson already learned, and when we are done ‘here’ our real life is waiting ‘out there’, and when we hit another point out there that needs growth, we come back here in some new form and learn more. Think of this place as the classroom/Laboratory where we can make mistakes, blow the classrom to hell and back, but not really muck up the inner workings of Universe, which we COULD do in our true state of an energy cloud.
Enough Woo-Woo for ya?
I could go into much more detail, but honestly, I am just worn out this week; my mind is in pure fog mode. Bad sinus issues from something in the air, or some buggie that has been passed along, dunno for certain. BUT , its making my sleep patterns screwy, like short bursts of sleep to wake up snorting and hacking up snot thats trying to make its way into my bronchi,,, NO wyrd symptoms, like loss of smell or taste, no running temperatures, just massive drainage when I lay down. (and maybe while I am awake, but I haven’t noticed it at those times. (and I may try an experiment and buy new pillows this week,,,, It’s possible there is something in one of mine that is causing this,,, )
And I may have to start shooting dogs here soon. Not sure about the ‘shooting commences in,,,’, but neighbors dogs have definitely been chasing my cats. I have said something on three occasions to them, and
And I can’t find Grizz or Zooms tonight.
We all die.
But if one of those cats has been forced in fear across the rainbow bridge, there are some doggums that will suddenly find themselves on it to. I won’t wound, Head shots only. BUT, I won’t allow aggressive cat killers to keep it up (and so far they have been lucky they haven’t been caught. they have killed two chickens in the area and if the owner of said chickens suspects it, they are no longer the property of my neighbor, and their lives are forfeit. Same thing applies to my kats (but my kats allow the chickens to steal their cat food and just watch them them with bored expressions,,, No chick’in killin’ kats in my yard, nopes,,, It’s the barn wrens that Grizzy is hell on,,,) The dogs may be ‘friends and furry kids’ of neighbor, but they are forming pack like qualities and becoming aggressive to all the animals in the hollar. The 5 pups (over 6 months, so not puppies,,,) jumped Voodoo one day while he was out doing the Doo, and if I hadn’t been present, they would have made short work of the old boy. A willow switch is a great deterant, but Voo now knows their measure and when we are near their ‘territory’ stays damned close to me. Something he has NEVER EVER done before when we go ‘walkies’.
———and a stay of execution just came running in, bounced off my chest with a “Bllerrttt!!!!’ in greeting, and ran over to the kibble bowl. Zooms is probably ok too, since he is even more ‘shady’ around ‘big scary dawgs’ than my social butterfly ” everybody is my buddy” Grizz.
Notice I didn’t mention Mama. Thats because she is firmly planted on her throne, and trying to push the laptop off of it. Not nipping me yet, but that may be coming,,, (she’s been good since I swatted her ass the last time. Just a glancing blow as she escaped the yelling krazy hooman through the katdoor, but I did get my message across in much the same manner as she uses to show displeasure about things.). Now her, I don’t worry too much about since if the pups start yapping, she sticks REALLLLYYYYY Close to the house. She may not understand they aren’t coyotes, but she knows the ‘yotes are bad news for kitty-kind. I don’t know how she knows it, but over the years, I noted that when the ‘yotes are yipping in the hills, Mama is here on the porch, pacing and growling, or sitting up high watching that direction intently. (and she growls at bear, deer, and stray dogs, so,,,, She knows the ‘enemies of kat-kin’.)

At least it’s legal for you to deal with cat killers by just plugging them with a case of 22 flu. I assume open range rules apply.
Here in the metropolis of Melbourne it is not legal to fire weapons. Then again fireworks are sold all the time here legally, and it is difficult to distinguish tween a 22 and a firecracker hmm.
One neighbor does have a known cat killer and would love to eat my cats or chickens. The chickens are always kept behind a tall fence or in their coop. The cat is too smart for that dog tho and knows to avoid him when he gets lose. Guaranteed he will get a case of the flu , if he ever kills one of our critters.
Not allowed in my world , don’t tolerate dogs that kill for sport or ones that will bite for no cause. Automatic capital offence here !

Was throughout this country till around 1960s, now, its flipped and a dog that gets to liking the kill has to be caught in the act and auth-or-a-ties need brought in. Except here, where farm rules still apply.
Even deer are open season, off season, if they are wiping out a garden.
