Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

more than three,,,

There is a guest post up over at Sarahs place, and I don’t disagree with the author,,,   With the exception of “three options”; there are more than three options coming our way.    The basis of his options are clear, but there are more paths that could be tread coming our way than ‘same old, same old’.

First off, We know that the plans of the Marxists at the levers, won’t work: I want to hit on some of the WHY it won’t work and illustrate other options at the same time.

The biggest thing going against the marxists is reality, we all know this.  Societal theories based on skewed “I want it to be, so it is” will never work in reality.    And the only way they can get to that point is by crashing everything to the point where the survivors are desperate enough to beg relief from any source.   Even with the crashing of things, they seem to think that their little world will remain untouched: again, a dislocation of reality.

And then, there are people like me, scattered throughout the world.  People that have ‘hobbies’ that don’t rely on modern conveniences.   We use them(modern conveneinces), oh lord do we use them, but the knowledge precedes modern conveniences and can revert to when those are no longer available.   People “play” as blacksmith these days, as just an example.   I know and have known people that can build a house starting with just a TR EE.  And there are so many people playing with “organic gardening” that keeping people fed won’t be as daunting as ‘our leadershits’ pretend it will be.

Rough times? You frillin’ know it,  People will have to give up conveniences we currently take for granted, but people DO adapt.   Many will fold into small balls and just quit, some will go to the other side out of desperation, and then there are us Odds,,,  The ones that ‘know things’,’do things’, that don’t fit the left/center/right dogma very well.

Seriously, look at the Toob Schedule of other than main network entertainments.   Things like “Junkyard wars” or that one series with the guys competing in forging blades. (by fire or sumsuch,   I seriously do NOT watch Toob so what I am going on is stuff picked up in passing.).  In my case, wanting to understand machining skills, being perpetually broke, I went to ‘how to make the danged things meself” route and learned way more than could be taught in some one year Trades course.   As stated in the opening line of one of my books, “Someone somewhere had to start from scratch, we will too.”

And WE WILL TOO.

First off, we have one hell of a guideline in the original Constitution, and we have access to how it came to be, and dialogues of those that were building it at the time.  We see how it was co-opted over time, and we know what parts need to be defended behind 100′ tall 200′ thick iron walls.  One thing I have hit on here in the past (besides the education thing, which needs to return and stay strictly local with NO outside interference for the first 8 years IMO. more on that elsewhere) is suffrage:  we need to return to the Skin in the Game levels of voting, and not let it run will-he nil-he like has been done for the last Hundred years.

And there are simple ways to make it so you must have skin in the game without culling Sex, Skin tone, or Religion: and its one of the keys that was kinda sorta written over by some peeps at the Constitutional Convention that didn’t like one word “PROPERTY”.

Lets just say that in order to vote, you must be the sole owner of 20 acres of land.   That sort of detail can be ironed out later, but make it so there must be something of value held by the owner.   OR even though I hate to bring it in, Use Heinlein’s Troopers idea where you must have served a stint in the forces and until you did and mustered out, NO VOTE.  Sex doesn’t make a play since anyone can hold property or serve in the forces.   Age doesn’t really make a play either since some young people are getting into real estate early on (thanks to a certain book about Two Dads,,,)

But what can NOT BE ABIDED is Unlimited Suffrage.   You want to have say, PROVE IT!!!  otherwise, sit back and do what ever makes you happiest and leave the direction of society to those that have some sense and enough propriety to build something.

I know its not an end all be all solution, but unlimited suffrage has been a flat fiasco and we are seeing the end results.

Until that time comes about, we will never see another ‘fair and honest’ election cycle in this country.   And I say this from experiance at the polls on Tuesday.  Two of the people in line to vote were known to me: NEITHER OF THEM CAN READ. So please, tell me how they voted?   I can tell you: they voted a straight ticket.   D or R, and didn’t give a crap that there was any other points on the ballot, like the Abortion amendment that was being pushed for the State.   Which way did they vote?  Dunno, but knowing one of them, it was straight D because ‘thats the way daddy voted and I do too.’   (and there are a LOT of those still around these days.,,,*sigh*).  Neither is a property owner, they are renters, always will be because they don’t know how to work a contract with a bank for a mortgage loan, among other reasons.

How many of the voters in Blue Cities are in similar positions of ignorance?   (don’t answer that, it was rhetorical: I am sure I don’t want to know,,,)

And until such time as we come up with some solution for suffrage that makes sense, is fair, but not universal, any ‘reform’ we do to the election system is going to be tainted by fraud and those that have no desire to lose position.

So, what are the other options?   Let them crash it, but do as Sarah keeps telling us: build under around and through.  Build a shadow society, just like they built a shadow government.   We can do this a whole lot easier than you might think, the biggest hurdle is coming up with how we exchange things.   Do we continue to use cash, that they are trying to outlaw?   or do we muster some other option, like blockchains or some other intangible, or do we make something up out of whole cloth?       I dunno, but I do know that barter will carry society only so far before it gets too cumbersome.   (why do you think corn-farmers in Appalachia started making whiskey?   it’s a whole lot easier to transport 200 bushel of corn distilled into bottles than raw in baskets.)(and thats why people took to ‘paper money’ so easily.  Much easier to carry a couple hundred in cash in paper form than in Gold Eagles. and why people used to call gold and silver coins, ‘cartwheels’: it took a cart to haul enough to do anything of great importance.).

WE have the skills, many of us have the knowledge that can make up the difference, and we have the information to correct what has been broken,

BUT, we have work to do and it won’t be on the playing fields of (S)Electon cycles as they stand now: If you keep playing by the rules of the ‘house’, the house ALWAYS wins.   We have to make new rules and stick to them, ignoring those that keep playing by the old rules that have been bent and twisted for the benefit of a very few.
