beating on them only makes the smell more prevalent.
It’s cold enough that I busted open my Scrivener app on the Mac.
and all hell ensued,,,
WHAT MANUSCRIPTS????
As in, I can’t seem to get ANY of my past writing to open up,,,,
I really don’t want to have to bust out the PC for this shit,,, I hate using the PC, clonky ass Operating system that wants to spend half of your bandwidth to tattle-tale to the home servers, and then are so danged slow, bees stuck in amber slow,,,,(and why I want to find an older model that I can slap my copy of Vista into that will still work and isn’t the bug filled mess that 10 is, doesn’t need updated since its no longer supported, and WORKED,,, (and 10 is why I finally threw my hands into the air and went full on Mac,,, Screw Gates with a rusty chainsaw, sideways,,,)
And the damned app was working perfectly not all that long ago.
Maybe its me, mehbe I am doing something wrong on my end and the Mac being the stubborn computer it truly is, doesn’t’ understand my double and triple clicks so sends me crap back. Garbage in, garbage out: still the main source of frustration in all things computer.
Anywhoos, the whole idea today was to go back and re-write the timelines in Wings so that I can unfreeze its sequel. I have about 100000 words written on that, but it doesn’t work without re-working its prequel. Not a FULL re-write, just the outer details, like Trump,,,, Utilizing the “real world” and then IRL not following the script really buggered the whole affair. SO,,,, Do away with that real world aspect and take it to the next level, unfreeze the sequel, and when both are ‘acceptable’ TO ME, re-release Wings in its new format, and the sequel at the same time.

LOL. I’m betting that by the time I have hit the above, both will have evolved into something different,,, Problem with being a seat of the pants writer. As one writer put it over at Frans place “I love being a writer, but hate the writing,,,”: I can totally understand that. Being able to tell a good story is what makes us write, telling and writing are not the same thing, one is easy, the other is WORK,,,, And I think non-writers do understand that and why they are NOT writers: all that typing, editing, rewrites, editing, discovering new combinations for the next story, but can’t let the one creep into the other, editing,
