on to the rest of this post,,, I love technology, I really do, but there are times where I think we have gone just a bit too damned far, and those time are quite securely tied into Bureaucracy; or as I like to put it, Burro-crappy. Heres the schtick, Went to renew my DL/ML today and found out that the STAT of KEnDukee no longer does this through the local court houses. There are ‘local’ offices located around the state (HA!!!) but the offer the ‘convenience’ of online renewals.
Problem.
I have a 911 posted street address, BUT no house delivery by the USPS, so must have a POB for mail. The problem arises that the Burro-crappy does NOT send out anything to a POB, can’t even put that IN the addy lines,,,, I went ahead and ran the whole she-bang, figuring, “IF” it gets here, great, if not, its on record, to hell with it, I TRIED to play by THEIR stoopid games.
Thats one of the highlights of living in the sticks, mail service,,, Kinda sorta like,,, And the Post office is ONE MILE from the house!!!
Budgets,,,, As in, this little burg has only so many LISTED households so doesn’t get the budget to have anything other than the postmaster and ONE mailman. I leave my opinion of that mailman alone here, the postmaster (mistress???) is a super nice lady who will TRY to help with stoopid shit like the above potential issue. The problem is, there is only one her and several thousand of us, and she is only capable of so much,,,, And there are times where she is not there (vaca’s etc) and that’s when things get really strange, or just flat disappear (I have been waiting on the arrival of package from a friend for 6 years, and they sent it, received delivery comfirmation, but me, NOPE, no box, no love,,, Someone took possession of it, but it wasn’t me.)
Burro-crappy’s: ways to remove responsibility while providing sub-standard performance for critical services. Services that wouldn’t be needed if not for the Regs and RedTape they created to begin with.

I don’t really want to go on my tirades on Anti-government, been there done that and just try to get along on the outskirts of the mess. BUT, there are times where interaction is still a must, and it never fails, that some Cuck has gone and made things a mess.
SO, those of you’n that think you want to move to the sticks and get away, think about all the fun and games you are leaving behind, but seriously consider that some of the stuff you take for granted is NOT going to be so out here. AND most State Govs don’t give a hot damn about the sticks because we don’t swing elections like the big cities do. We tend to get left behind, or ignored when they want changes that make ‘their jobs’ easier. OR, like the whole Fiber install that took place the last couple years here in KY, the areas that got the lion share of it, were places that already had service. Places like here,,,, Not so much. Still working on that aspect for my needs, but so far, no love. What I have is working,,,,,, Most days anyways. Not good enough for ‘work from home’ options, but good enough to keep up with blogs and emails. (note to DRL, the option you sent me is the same as what I am using, the problem being that cell service is spotty here right along with lack of cable services. And its very localized. I go 1 mile east or west, and the problems vaporize. MY problem is my house is NOT on wheels nor is my property,,,)
Now, I saw recently a big push by some groups to get more connectivity to areas such as I am in, using the argument that these areas need more for education purposes, especially with online education being much more ‘A thing’. I doubt the hive workers in Frankfort give a damn though.
I do love autosave on the WordPress site,,,,, NOT!!! Update!!! There were about 300 more words here that are lost to the aether and time. Not going to try and relocate them in my mind since they are already out and about playing with their toes in the grass now,,,,,
Roger on the internet. Supposedly, the router I offered you is supposed to be a significant step up from those normally supplied by cell internet providers (I have no points of comparison beyond positive anecdotal stories) . Got a shit ton of antennas and other tech beyond my rudimentary elektronical understanding. Locals here with 1 bar or spotty coverage had good things to say. Probably 1500 folks in our community using it before fiber started coming in. If ya wanna give it a try just email me, should be able to just stick in your SIM card and giver her a whirl. Only other factor is exactly what type of service the provider provides. They can pay more (and hence charge more) for their customers to be prioritized as I understand i, which is what this provider did. Perfect? nah, but more than 90% of the time good enough to live stream a college FB game. Just lemme know.

I just picked one up, if it pans out remains to b seen. And it has a SIM card so I ‘potentially’ could swap if needed. I didn’t have that option with the phone since the phone needs to be dedicated as such more than a router.
