Thats a wayside stop on my route home. Been by it many times, usually for work, and never stopped. Hella view and the Vet memorial tops it off for me.
Back to me usual routines again: domestic duties, takin’ care of Da (setting up his meds for the week, checking his stores to see if he needs anything,,,) and scraping up the lucre through the week, to pay debts of all sorts,,, IE, just gettin’by in this day n age
Did some reading this AM after packing up, and while waiting for the rest of the Gang to climb outta the sack,,, My take on things is that ‘massive confusion ‘ seems to be the order of the day. Some calling for active revolution/civil war, others saying that we are already IN war, without it being full blown kinetic YET (near the center of my thinking) and in that last group are the “we win, They lose” groups, and the “all hope is gone” group (thats shrinking down quickly.) Lots of thinking and tossing words around, and no consensus about JACK,,,
But life WILL go on; maybe not mine or yours, but humanity will keep moving forward, making evolutionary shifts, and eventually, WTFknows,,, way above my paygrade, and far beyond my sphere of influence (which is no bigger than the reach of my arms, and sometimes barely that,,,)
The number of people on rafts yesterday was staggering. (Usual for this time of year actually, but the first time I have been exposed to it) What I found most interesting was the disparities. Rafters (other than the guides, who are a truly mixed bag) the faces I saw on rafts seemed to have an unusually high percentage of Hindi. Maybe it was just a large (stress on large) group that organized to play on that day, dunno, BUT, the kayakers were, with rare exception, palefaces.
I have no idea if that means a damned thing, just relating an observation.
(Side note, Hartford TN is very much a rafting/kayaking sort of town. When the water trickles instead of flowing, that ‘town’ rolls up the sidewalks and goes home. Literal ghost town within minutes, at the end of the day, and off season.
Anywhooss, doing stuff at Da’s, stuff to do at home, and Kittehs to appease soon as I can settle,,,, I’ll get with’y’all tomorrow,,,
