Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

Brrr

Cold nights!!!

I hates ’em!!!

We are in the middle of what the ol’timers call Dogwood Spring. Next up is Blackberry spring; likely another two weeks out but it usually doesn’t last long. At most, a couple of days.

Local kayak race is scheduled (was/is/ may be, yet to be determined) for next weekend (the 25th) and this is an already re-scheduled event. With the nationwide lockdown and rambling fear that still pervades, I have a sneaking suspicion this one is gonna be canceled as well. And the promoter is shitte for updating a webpage.(still shows registration info for 2017!!🥴)

Its frustrating me. I built the Duh!k for this race and while I’ve been using and abusing her since completion, she hasn’t raced anything!

And now I have Sirena as well. So in one sense, I’d have a choice to make IF the race were to happen. (Choice already made, though water level is the final call here. Low water means Sirena goes. Higher water gets the Duh!K)

And its cold, so prepping for said race oftimes gets set aside. I just ain’t built for the cold. Call me a wuss if you want; I hate the cold. (Its 58 right now and I’m bundled up with long sleeves, a hoodie and a fleece jacket! Hate the cold.) And if the race does happen AND its a cold day; I have the gear to use, but its bulky and a real pain to get in, but the race would be incentive enough.

Anywhoos, building the fire up and setting out the laptop and notes I jotted out today: its time to get i to some serious writing and I’ll worry about racing later.

Did I mention its frickin COLD,,, 🥶
