Vee haff veys! Indeed
You know, way back nearly thirty years ago, I was a part of the machine as a Marine. Went to Kuwait and shot at people and got shot at by people. Managed to come home in one piece. Went on to live my life. Don’t get me wrong, I’m proud of being a Marine, going through Boot, even my time over in hostile environs.
BUT! I never felt I was defending Freedom. My reasons for joining were not so patriotic as that.
Then I see this shit,,,

Embiggen for some details
Not a great pic I know, but there are 2 local PD in that pic and they most assuredly don’t look happy or in yhe mood to put up with ppl like me taking touristy shots.
You get in line, and a guy at the door has a tablet saying how many are allowed in. You wait. Every 6′ is a tape on sidewalk and if you get to close Mr.Po-po gives you the hairy eyeball. Once inside, oh, that rabbit-hole goes on a merry rollercoaster ride of caution tape labyrinths, no employees to help you get into the caged items, and alternate registers open to make sure everyone social distances themselves “or else”.
Those ass-hats that talk about serving to defend our freedoms are having a serious wake-up call right now.
If recruiters had a hard time getting peeps for military service, know they are going to be fighting to meet quotas. And that patriotism thing is NULL AND VOID, so the dregs they are going to get are going to be those looking for citizenship, or thugs looking for power over the littles.
Oh, and for those that tell me “if you don’t like it, LEAVE” Kiss my ass! They’ve shut down the fucking borders ppl!
WE
ARE
IN
PRISON
!!!!!!!!!!

I too have issue with the need for cops having to enforce a common sense guideline that learned doctor’s informed the public of in order to avoid this bug. People are so bullheadly ignorant. They just don’t understand that it’s follow these recommended guidelines or big brother will feel the need to enforce draconian methods. Better known as martial law.
Ain’t none of us gonna care much for that…
Now personally I ain’t been to the stores much over the past month.
Why ?
Cuz , the instant that China shut down their prime money maker over this outbreak, I knew for certain we were in for deep caca. We are talking about a country (China) which has been known to literally kill millions of their own for profit. No sir , if the Chinese close up shop over a bug…then y’all best follow their lead.
Personally , I don’t believe this voluntary social distancing thing is going to work out.
The idiots out there ain’t got enuff sense to buy TP for week, let alone for a month or two.
Just wait till they start getting hungry…
Sure glad I thought to stock popcorn too.
We all good here…for a very looooong spell.

Respectfully, I have to disagree with you on a point. I realize that the elderly and others with chronic health issues need to maintain a safety zone, and that their caregivers need special precaustions to ascertain a safe relationship with said patients. Honestly, the numbers that are being reported, and the very nature in HOW they are reported is meant to induce a panic state in those that don’t want to take a moment to do the math.(read: 90% of the world)
The numbers DO NOT ADD UP to what the responses are designed to contain. We see more deaths world wide from other ailments yet no country has gone into lock-down for influenza. Thise countries where ebola and its ilk are issues, they lock down, but the rest of the world does not.
Now, why did China lock down? From what I have read, this disease is doubly hardest on Asians, something to do with a protein in the blood stream being more common in them. This will be a problem in some older persons as certain drugs increase that protein.
As for the idiot’s, I do agree that many are hopeless, this ‘pandemic’ aside the point. What worries me far more is “what’s next?”. I saw something about banks being able to cut loans for businesses to make payroll, loans that are not expected to be repaid. How is that not socialism writ large? Then send everyone with direct deposit on record with IRS a check,,,
Where is this money coming from? Simple version, the inkwell, or in this case the computer keypad. It does not exist until some one spends it, and then its another number in an alrewdy flooded system. Hyperinflation can not be far behind. Double the national debt in the stroke of a pen, kill the driving force behind GDP by shuttering businesses for an indeterminate time frame, and watch the unemployed start to escalate.
Me thinks if it weren’t planned this way, some one really wishes they had written it as such.
But what do I know, I’m just a dumb welder,,🤙

Of course it’s an orchestrated event.
By whom ?
That’s the question that you probably don’t want to know ,the answer to.
Give ya a clue…During my war I was an Intelligence Officer…and I until this day , refuse to fly the flag. Because I’ve been so angry at the lies and deceit of our own government.
Nothing has changed , except that I’ve grown older.
Don’t take me wrong, I love this country and the Constitution for which it supposedly stands. Just wish those lies were recognized by the partisian public that are taught to point fingers and blame the other guy.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind , where this suddenly socialistic trend will take us.
Maybe that is the plan…

No, I agree with you whole heartedly there. My stint in the USMC was shortened by the Rodney King Riots in LA. I refused movement and spent 88 days in brig awaiting trial for several articles. Missing movement, UA, failure to follow orders, etc. Bad conduct discharge/time served later (only got me on FTFO charge) and I was back to civilian life.
I saw the way the winds were blowing then, but thought we had at least another lifetime. Foolish me.

Aren’t we all.
Hadn’t looked recently, but any idea how many we still have stationed in the sandboxes? Notice no one ever talks about that?

Only thing you do hear of is when more are killed. Guess the pull out is on pause ?
Plus if anything , I hear a build up geared toward future action in Iran…
Now with all that’s going on we’re starting a new offensive south of the border…over drugs ?none of it makes a lick of sense. Other than it is an election year

Build up for military action. Crash the economy to make everyone a dependent. Outlaw cash transactions. Digital format only. Media controls public opinion and all dissent is squashed.
If Orwell wasn’t a prophet,,,,

Oh yeah, on that other note of getting recruits. Ha ! You forget about that system that Uncle was using back in my day. Come join us or hightail it to Canada.
They won’t even think twice bout reinstituting the Draft.
Especially when we’ve got a full blown Depression going down and 75% of the young men are unemployed and rioting.
Spicey times indeed

Oh, I hear ya there, they learned that VERY well. Only took ’em 2 to figure out how to maximize the profit and make them continual without raising the ire of the population.
