More than a little grey out there this AM,,,   Calling for Thunderboomers later in the day, and with the humidity at SCUBA levels, I can feel that happening.

Totally ignoring the webz the last 24 hours.   Only actions have been banking things, payin’ bills, shuffling digital book entries around so it looks like I am actually paying things.   Funny how little we actually handle cash these days,

I’m just waiting on the last of my parts to arrive before I dig into Buffalo again.   I could do it now, I do have a crush sleeve to replace whats in there, but I really don’t want to fart around with trying to crush that sleeve down to its proper setting.   I feel thats a large part of why I am getting noize now.   (IE I didn’t get it properly crushed down, and the bloody thing has been sloppin’round in there.) 

New bearing and race, new CSE on its way, a tube of Jaundiced yellow oil paint (yes Virginia, that is what that test pattern stuff really is, that every autoparts place asks mad money for.) a new pinion seal just because, and oodles of patience.    I know I will likely have to pull things apart a few times AGAIN to get it right, and I WILL get it right this time.   I know NOW the areas I did not do so well, or ass-backwards, and I have better ways of checking my work as I go.   Even bought a torque adapter that reads in/lbs to make sure I am not guessing on pre-loads.

Gonna admit it, the last week has pushed me into a “dark night of the soul” period.   Can’t run away from this shit though,,, its all inside me, and running always brings me back to the mirror where I have to face the problemchild.

I know that things are not as they seem, I know that 99% will play along and I don’t get it.   Sometimes I feel like the wandering homeless have the right of it,,, just drop out of society as a whole and go their merry way.

and books,,,, Loves me books.   those things require a home, to store, to house, to protect,

So no runnin’way, eh?   Yeah,,, I know, besides, I run, I am just staying one foot in front of the real issue that is located right behind my eyes and 2″ behind my sternum.

Let it go!    You can’t fix stoopid and the way this world is ran, IS stoopid.   Like that money thing,,,  A resource that everyone needs to some extent (because barter only gets you so far) and yet its become a tool, one that has been weaponized.    And abused,,,  Look at how the FEDRES came into being and how it has manipulated things since.   Income tax was supposed to be voluntary and now,,,,   and who knows what the actual tax laws are,,, its seem capricious in application, worded in such a way it can mean anything, but the ones defining it are the ones in control.   Thats a dangerous situation with many many ways to corruption (hey, like what we have been seeing, no?)

I’m tired of the games, and part of me just wants that wanderlust back, but the costs to me are too high currently.   Maybe one day I will just say ‘fuck it’, find Mama and Zoomie a new home, load a kayak or a backpack and just dissappear over the horizon.

Gotta find a purpose that has longer goals than just paying the bills and getting through to the next pay period.

Second point in order,,, SCOTUS drops two rather heavy decisions into the fray the very next day.  Decisions that give Ammo to a POTUS that would like to streamline a FedGov,,,,   THIS IS NOT ACCIDENTAL,, This is all scripted,,,  I would bet there were two options on both counts depending on how that debate went down.

And then the dead cat bounce thing in the markets,,,

Watching it all, seeing how the usual talking heads are handling things, the hoopla over ‘who replaces the Corpse in Chief’, How the hell is the DNC going to pull a switch so close to the (S)election cycle and make their choice onto state ballots (recall, there has been a bit of stink over the timing of the convention and cut offs in certain states)

We’re being played people,,,   Things are not as they seem.   BCE nails it in his assessement that JFK was the LAST actual Presidential Choice this country has seen.  The rest have all been cardboard cutouts to give the illusion of choice to keep the charade going.

I would like to think that A change in the Gaurd at the Executive level will quiet the mess going on in Europe, and we can stop the madness that is escalating into WW3 with a quickness,,, 

But I can’t: the actual War is ongoing, its not being fought with bullets and bombs, but Memes and propaganda, Societal brainwashing, and money.    The Kinetic stuff that is taking place is part of the game, but is not the game itself,,, “We have always been at war with Eurasia”

Been runnin’round mad, not angry, more ‘nutzo’ mad-like.   

Making tools,,,  Used that tapered peice of steel that I didn’t need to measure the Pinion Depth and turned it into a mount for checking my backlash when I get to that point again.   the magnetic mount works, but can be downright frustrating to get and hold in place.

Ordering parts,,, Pinion bearing (in hand)  Crush bearing Eliminator (those things are do-able when you can ground and center underneath the vehicle,,, when you are on your back with gravel digging into odd areas (like your head and shoulders)  while trying to use 300ft/lb to crush that sleeve ‘just that little bit more and NO MORE’,,, Fuck that!)

Once that Eliminator is in hand, I will get on with doing this job right for the last time (fingers crossed)   That sleeve is due to arrive July 3, so I guess you know what my holiday is going to consist of,,,   Fine by me,,, my time with friends is slotted for the following week.

In the meantime, I have been ‘practicing’ setting that pinion gear using the old one from the donor case.   Playing with a different location for the shims (between case and race, not under that bearing and gear,,,,  Saw this on a chrysler in a vid and thought it would work better, no chance of screwing a bearing to change the shim.  So far, seems good to go.)

AND TAKING NOTES!!!!   lots of notes and measurements getting jotted down.   I know that numbers don’t match reality, but they sure do make reaching certain realities less guesswork and more straightforward.    That’s been my homework and the blog went the wayside (till lack of Daylight left me blind,,, LOL)

Told y’all that I am going to be an expert on GM 7.5 rear-ends before this is all said and done.

Currently Buff is a touch noizy,, not grinding,,, just a little whine on decel and not getting louder.  YET,,,   I think the main pinion bearing was more worn than I thought, because that is where the noize is coming from (checked with wheels in air and using a stethoscope) And there is always the possibility that my ‘lucky’ pull wasn’t so lucky, and I damaged them slightly.  

So in the meantime between when I can dive in headfirst (When everything is on hand.) I take it easy on the ol’gurl and don’t do any heavy driving,,,, keep it close to home incase things go from whine to LOUD.

Tonight is the ‘debate’ of the Century.  Talking to Da tonight, He feels strongly that no matter how it turns out, the whole thing is gonna come back and bite the Demoncrap party in the ass, with big nasty hobnailed teeth dripping in arsenic.

Me,   Purt much DON’T CARE at this stage.   The more I dig into other aspects of the bigger picture, I think the outcome of this year are already in motion, and the ‘designers’ are playing fiddlesticks with no clue how REAL people actually function.   Too many manipulations of Psyops taking place trying to sway thinking and it keeps backfiring on them.

Sitting here under the carport, ‘ghetto-fabbing’ a tool base for making a measuring tool on this differential.  By Ghetto-fabbing, I am talking me, sitting on me arse, with a peice of 1/2 plate cut rough to size and using a grinder to rough it into shape,, (need to clarify,, I am not digging into BUff just yet, only using the open case of the other diff as a pilot)

The bearing race caps,,, bottom two bolts are directly in line with the center of the pinion,,,  The face they bolt to is dead center of the axle shaft,,, Has to be because you would never get the races in  otherwise.   Place a straight edge across those faces on the bolt holes, get a measuerment by dropping the probe from your micrometer to the face of the pinion, subtract the thickness of the straight edge,,, depth to pinion,,,,

I know that there are going to be other designs where this isn’t likely to be, but on this particular case, it will work.  NO NEED to be dropping 6 bills on a tool that I may never need again (and don’t need now, ROFLMAO!)   Still going to make my hockey puck jig for figuring the shim(s) needed,   that can be done out of anything really.  Was planning on machining some aluminum I have, but could be out of hardwood and still work.   Just needs to ride the case where the race goes, and let the pinion slip in and out but not wobble around.  (and thickness of bearing AND race: 1.275″)

All day long,,,   tryin’ to come up with solutions to how I can avoid buying a $600 tool that I might only use ONCE.

Now, I DO have the ability to machine some parts above,  even have some,  like that 1-2-3 block (machinist tool, DUH!)

And my mind keeps wandering back to that slot I pic’ed in the last post.  I am certain it’s meant to lock in part of a  boring bar set for boring the pinion hole,  but there is no reason I can’t use it to.  

So far I have half a dozen options/ideas, but not in a spot where I can do a danged thing

Except think about it,,, 

Simplicity is the key, accuracy is the target, and the Ultimate goal is to do this, one LAST time, and be GOOD!!!

Just need the Buff to not tear her ass apart again while I get my shit together,,,,
