The Agencies should NEVER be allowed to write Laws.   That is a function of Congress and is written as such.   IF for some instance, the agency does need that ability, it should have a FINITE SUNSET DATE and no chance of ‘roll-over’.  And I still don’t believe, even then, that they should have that ‘right’.   Send the information to Congress, let the TRULY elected (choke! did I just write that,,,,) decide and let the people have the final say by removing those that ‘fukitup’.

In that article, 54% of the agency heads DO NOT THINK “We the People” have the ability to decide the direction of this country,,,,,,

SO!, with that in mind, I can see part of why the first term of DJT hit that wall.   Not all of it of course.   I do think his hiring many of the swamp creatures as his cabinet was part of the problem too.   I would hope that IF he makes the grade and defeats the STEAL, that he learned a thing or two and hires REAL GUNNER TYPES (like RFKjr seems to be,,,) to clean house, and Takes that little tidbit of Regulation STRAIGHT TO THE SUPREMES for nullification  so he CAN ‘Drain the Swamp’ of those overpaid undereducated asshats that wouldn’t last  a year in the Private marketplace,,,,

How the day started,,,   and why I NEEDED a Church day,,,,

Da’s truck was in need of some repairs’n’bandaids.   Needed a new silencer/baffle box/muffler for one, and second, another patch on an already patched and repatched frame.   And while under there, found a broken shock, so needed to replace those, and had to weld a new mount to the frame for one side, since the one there broke off when I hit with the ratchet.

Honestly, never again!!!

That frame is more rust than steel, other than the patches I have welded on.  It bothers me to know he drives it because I DO NOT think its road worthy, , ,

But he wont hear it!!!  “Just fix this and it will be fine!” 

Doesnt help that he did price out a few others and decided “prices,  his age, fugdat!!”  And I do understand, prices are outrageous right now,(why I’m investing in Buffalo) and he is 84,,,   he doesnt drive it much, or far,  but,,,,  yeah,,,

Toyota truly screwed the pooch in the late 90’s.  Just working on his, turned me off from their trucks in a big way, and I used to love the older ones (that 22R engine just would! NOT! DIE!!!!)  Not anymore,,,  shiite frames and less than stellar drive trains /powerplants,,, lots of bells n whistles but no ass with rotting skeletons to carry it.  The only thing worth a crap on his truck, IMO, is the rear diff with that electric locker.   (We’ve rebuilt or replaced the front diff, TWICE) Its built for a larger engine so holds up, and when ‘locked’, will climb walls like a kat on the zoomies. 

Did I mention its a V6?  Yeah, NO ass for an engine that size.  The in-line 4s seem stronger (different ratio’d diffs but that shouldnt make THAT big a difference)

(Considering how worrisome this truck makes me, with him driving it,  that ‘no ass’ thing is probably a good thing, no?)

Anywhoos,  it has a new muffler n tailpipe now,  new rear shocks,  and two new bandaids on the frame.  Welds are solid where they are,  but there is so much rot that can’t be seen,,,,

I’m a libertarian, NO PARTY AFFILLIATION,,,  But the small ‘l’ type libertarian.   I am also a free market capitalist.  

And I understand and TRY to apply the N.A.P. to most of life.   Note; Non- aggression principles DO NOT mean I won’t kick your ass, it just means “don’t start nuthin’, won’t be nuthin’ ” 

but where I run into an issue is in some of the things RFKjr brought up in his speech.   We obviously do NOT reside in a free market economy: that there are mega-corps feeding on massive profits isn’t the problem,,, its that they are doing so with no accountability to their customers, and from all that RFK mentioned, they are doing their customers GREAT HARM.   Harm that spans decades, and is growing in intensity.  

I’m all about making a profit, but not so much so that I would fuck over a customer to make that profit, let alone, damage them in health, or prosperity.   The whole idea of free exchange is that both parties are satisified with the ending.    If one side is unaware of the dangers in a transaction but the other side is aware of, and willfully established the danger in production, then I have a serious problem with it.

Think about it this way: the Automotive industry does recalls for safety issues on a regular basis,, yes, the protocols of that are sort of weak (so many deaths/damages paid=recall, below that; ‘fuck ’em’.) but they do it because to not do it will damage thier integrity to the point where they may not be able to do business at all.   Granted, they are also regulated Giants, and have some sway in things (until Oblammy-o-boy and his EPA mandates that are killing the whole industry.) but there is some Integrity and ethics involved.

We know Big Pharma has linched-pinned into the entire Medical Complex and that there are doctors that will push whatever their bosses want pushed this week (like a certain weight loss drug, Ozempic, that is banned in several Euro states and with good reasons.  Its being pushed big time here, and is moving because we DO have a weight problem in this country.  Problem being, there are OTHER ways of dealing with that problem and it boils back to Big AGRA stuffing our food full of shit that makes food ADDICTIVE (and hormone laden and stuffed with additives that are  questionable in their need or utility to the product.)

And Our Government is rife with agents of both industries, as well as flooded with the lobbyists that pad the pockets of the ‘faithful’ elected that keep the trough over-flowing in regulation and laws that choke those that DO have integrity and want to keep their custom base alive, so they can keep spending money.   The whole thing reeks of Conspiracy to keep milking the herd for every ounce of gelt they can get, until the individual herd members choke and die.  WHO cares so long as the herd as a whole keeps on buying those cheetos and doritos and stuffing their gullets with CRAP,,,, so that the Medical complex can keep making (lifelong) Patients and milking the other side of that Cow.

And of course the GOV gets to tax us on everything else along the way,,,,,

Thinking along these lines,,,,, I really want to just ‘give up’,,, but that does nothing good and living like Crusoe is not viable in this world.    Yeh, could go and become a homeless person and drop from the societal roles, but that does nothing to change the fact that the food we are allowed choice in (for the most part) is ABSOLUTE POISON with long term effects.

Point of order here: a few years ago (around the time the COVIDIOCY began) I was dallying with the Paleo Diet.   Nothing but MEAT,,,  Red meat, white meat, fish meat, bird meat, you name it,,,,   And my energy levels EXPLODED and I started dropping weight WITH NO OTHER CHANGES.  Just what I was eating at meals.    I was buying the fresh stuff, nothing in a can or box (in the case of fish) and kept what I drank during the day the same.    I dropped a pound or so a week for the first three, then it went to two plus, and after three weeks at that, went back to a pound and started to decline.   I was back to my “fightin’ ” weight’ of 185, puttng on some muscle while shedding that belly and flab.

Of course, when shit went sideways with lockdowns and what not, keeping to that diet was harder: Hours were down, getting into the stores that sold the fresh stuff I prefered was off the table (I refused to wear that muzzle of shame and Krogers was very much on that horsecart then,)

Right now, I am ‘shopping around’.    I want back on that diet, I need a refrigeration system I can rely on. (my current fridge is ‘maybe today,,, maybe not’, and I don’t keep anything in it that can spoil quickly, like fresh meat.   I buy kow for mama daily because she will eat what I buy before it ‘turns’.)   and a new unit must be ‘three way’ : AC, DC or propane.   I don’t have the power supply to run an AC fridge 24/7.  that means I use the DC or propane (winter time)

and those fuckers are pricy, let me tell you. 

BUT, Shopping around.   I found the cattle guy over in TN so beef isn’t an issue, it’s just cost prohibitive until I can afford to buy and KEEP a side of beef ‘on ice’.   (and why I am building that food drier)  I’m looking for a supplier of chicken and eggs (and may opt to start raising them myself instead,,,).    Dairy is something that I will use the stores for still, since we don’t really have much dairy land around here; its all shipped in.  I just have to be frugal and start reading labels n such. (more so really,, already do, and avoid things like ‘anything SOY’ or some chemical name that requires me to resort to phonics to sort out,,,,)

The other option ( which is even more expensive) is to go back on grid and install AC in the house and go through all the inspections I was able to bypass by living off-grid, and LIKELY being told I would have to demolish my place and rebuild (not to code!!!)

I’m not looking at living forever, but I do want to be able to enjoy the rest of what I have left.   And I found that eating ‘normal fair’ has done bad things to me. Reading about it from RFK only reinforced what I was thinking on that matter.  

THEY are trying to kill us, dumb us down and make us mere cattle for their benefit.

FUCK THEM!!!   I’m human, You are HUMAN.   I’m not sure about THEM anymore.  (no, I am not buying into the ‘lizard people’ thing, but the way they act and the things they do, I have to wonder just how much humanity has been bred out of that group,,,,)

My hope for the future is that Trump manages to beat the steal, that he brings RFK on board to head the BIG PHARMA/BIG AGRO clean-up crew, Rand Paul to head the clean up of the Education side of things, and Rand’s Dad, Ron to head the Department of Treasury (that would be a hoot,, talk about being able to DEMAND an audit of the FED!!!)   I know, pipe dreams, but we are getting to the point that is all we have left because to focus on what looks ‘inevitable’ is damned depressing and makes a body want to crawl under a rock,,,,

only the future knows what it holds, and it IS NOT written in stone.   Anything could happen in the next three months to election day, and the remaining three months before inaugeration.

Needed to fill propane tanks in prep for the on-coming colder months; have wood aplenty for my needs, so that was a non-issue.   I’m likely to order a new regulator/switch since the one I have has a history of leaking down faster on one side than the other,,, Haven’t found the leak with bubble test, so its likely the regulator assembly itself that has a micro leak.     (currently, the tanks are closed, so not worried about the leaky-leaky, but it does need addressed before the weather goes full blown ‘Winds of November’ on us.)

AND, I am getting engaged again with Selkie,,,      She’s been laying in dry-dock on the porch all summer long, half opened for surgery and my motivation to finish the job has been rather lacking,,,,  Sorry Brudda B, I know you are in no hurry for her to return to your quiver (and part of my excuses to myself,,,) but I keep dropping the ball on you and for that, I do apologize.    She won’t be sitting there for much longer though.  Brudda B and I were conversing the other night and attempting to make some plans for Solace get-aways, winter camping, just get out on WATER times so HE can get his head on straight for a spell.    And I decided that one way I could help influence that was to get Selkie done and make a date to deliver her to him, AND get him some water time with the same ‘thrown rock’.   Maybe on SOCIALIST’S DAY,,,,   We will both be free then, maybe, hopefully; will see.

But that means I need to get my arse in gear, the RPM’s up, and get BIZZY,,,

Can’t do that sitting in a cockpit of a kayak getting battered by waves (though that is really where I would like to be)

Good news though,,, I had to take Buffalo into my yard today (well, didn’t HAVE to, but figured what the hell, gets the tools closer to where I was working)  and she did Abso-frikkin-lutely AWESOME.   Wet grass, hard incline, and she never spun a wheel, getting in or getting out.  She climbed off that hillside like a champ.  YES!!!! That posi-trac diff was worth EVERY DAMNED PENNY and frustration (and I learned a shit-ton)

Mama-Kat has never been a mouser, but is hell on lizards (which I don’t mind as much as they don’t destroy my preps, and they eat slugs)  Something about her eyes: I don’t think she can see depth: especially in low-light conditions.  One eye has always had a strange light to it, like it has a cataract or something,,,, Zooms on the otherhand,,, perfect sight and hearing and NO SPINE (unless its another tomcat then, hello! balls galore.)

Naw, I ain’t shipping him out, just sayin’,,, I went ahead and ordered an electric zap-a-mouse trap today.   The usual spring loaded types aren’t doing it, and I worry that one of the four-feets will get hung up in one.   Will see how that fairs since my kibble burning type isn’t working too well either,,,(and I sure as hell won’t use rat poison, seeing how the Whack-a-doo Cousin of mine did, and managed to kill Grizzy-Kat, who was THE mouser of the house.)

That is something that anyone thinking of moving into the woods is going to have to consider: Mice and other parasites/vermin are at home in the woods and more than willing to share your space when the weather starts to turn.   Oppurtunists they are! and ‘free food’ will never be turned down (and is highly sought after by the little shit machines,,,,)   If you prep, store anything edible; make sure you take efforts to keep the small ones heeled.   They can (and DO) chew through an insane amount of plastic to get at whats inside.   I have seen evidence they will chew through storage barrels to get at the contents.   Oxygen absorbers seem to mess them up on whats inside, so they ignore those containers, (and O2absorbers are cheap in quantity.) ( and it says something abou the sensitive nature of thier noses, that they can smell the contents of a SEALED container loaded with SEALED containers of packaged and SEALED foodstuffs.)

Anywhoos, the chill is burning off, there are things that need done, and I am not getting the RPM’s up sitting here filling a screen with pixels of data in a one sided conversation about ‘not much’,,,

RFKjr sides with and endorses Trumped,,,  Good deal, I think,,,  I read his speech (I have a hard time understanding his spoken word thanks to blown ear drums and the fact that he sounds gravelly, like he smoked way too much over the years,,,,)  And while I had to decypher some of the text (I think it was written by Dragon speech to text, in real time, so things can get wyrd with punctuation,,,,)  yeah, the man has VALID points,,, Especially when it comes to why we are the unhealthiest nation on the planet (and NO, it has little to do with our wealth, which is being stolen and squandered on the daily,,,)  

Recently I saw a peer reviewed paper showing that Flouride in water supplies is ACTUALLY causing cerebellum development issues in fetus’ and young children.  Think about that,,,, take in some of the stats that RFK mentions about autism and other mental issues that are running rampant in our children,,,  

Then something that has been a third rail with the MSM’s,,, Big AGRO,,,   Highly processed foods.    National Obesity, National Diabetes rates, etc etc etc.  

Hell, Big AGRO, BIg PHARMA, BIG TECH, BIG BIG BIG   Too big to fail, etc etc etc,,,, yet none of them EVER think about the small guy, trying to improve his world for his family, that is regulated to death and bankruptcy,,,,

In that way, I am sort of “Old Skool Democrat” as explained by RFK in his speech.    with one exception,,, I will always be libertarian because I don’t think “there aughta be a law”,,,,   The Laws for what our Government can and can’t do (which they circumvent and ignore at will) are quite small, and fairly precise in intent (there are some vague areas) and can passed along in a phamplet that isn’t even 50 pages and can be carried in a back pocket.   The Federal Register on the other hand,,,,   HUGE isn’t a big enough word for it, and that a large portion of the laws on the books never existed as a bill to congress to debate over, but were bureacratic additions that lived past the 180 day window to contest them,,,,

Yeah, those that start spouting ‘there aughta be a law’ get both barrels of vitiol from me,,   Probably a good reason I don’t CC on the daily,,, (I do carry fixed blade, daily, and there have been temptations,,,,,,)

I am getting some shit in order on this end.  I may even post about some of it, as it is going along the ‘re-use, repurpose, recycle’ thing, and the title of this blog IS about a workshop, right?   One of the things I am working on, slowly, is turning that 100# propane cylinder (the leaky one) into a solar powered food dryer (and plan on adding a smoker to it later,,)   

part of my logic on that has much to do with MamaKat and her finicky ways.   Some of y’all that have been here awhile know that she does NOT eat cat-kibble, nor anything canned for cats.   Totally turns the nose up and won’t touch it.   She will starve herself to death and not touch that shit.   I have been feeding her ‘ded-kow’ and she gobbles that up, usually,,,,    BUT, there are only a couple of places I can buy it that she will eat what I bring home.   I don’t know where the other places buy thier beef from, but it definitely has a different flavor than the stuff that Mama is willing to eat (If she won’t eat it, I do, or DID,,, not so much now,,, Getting paranoid as hell about what I am buying and eating )

There is a place across the border in TN that raises and sells their own beef.  I just started going there for the ‘ded-kow’ for mama, and she goes to TOWN on it,,,  She gets excited when I bring that package in and has about ripped it out of my hands.  

I get that drier done, I plan on buying a quarter side and turning a large majority of it into beef jerky.  Stuff that will keep for a while (and mama will eat beef jerky, but only certain brands. Like this one)  

And before anyone says anything, YES, I already cleaned out the tank of any residues from the propane, cut the bottom off and flipped it up and did a bonfire inside the tank to burn out anything that may have soaked into the steel.  Ran a leaf blower into the valve hole and had the sides glowing cherry red.  Its clean!!!   (and it burned off I have no idea how many layers of paint that were on the outside.  Stank to high heaven for about an hour as that burned off.)

The good thing about drying food is that you can dry anything; fruits, meats, veggies,  Freeze dried is best, but thats not an option I can take.   Smoking is second best for preservation, as is salting,     The size of this tank is big enough to smoke a full ham, though I haven’t researched what all is involved in that (YET)

Yeah, I have some dire feelings about the future and how I am gonna feed my original house kat,,, and ME as well.   When things get really Soviet styled with price controls and sudden outages of everything, the game situation here-bouts is gonna take a serious hit QUICK.   and Dog forbid the local Game Wardens try to intervene,,, shallow graves may dot these hills like they did in prohibition days.  Yotes gotta eat too,,,,

with that as a thought, Local poachers LOVE 22shorts.   Yes, it can kill Bambi, if you do a headshot,  and is so quiet from a long barreled tool,,,   Air rifles are louder,,,   And my Ol’ Henry can hold 24 shorts but only 15 LR’s,   Squirell hunting is almost not fun with the shorts because I can clear a tree of the Tree-Rats and they never have a clue (so long as I start with the closer treeklown and work my way up.

Not that I am endorsing poaching or anything,,,  but when the littles get hungry, a man will do what a man must,,, if he is any sort of man to start with.  (we have a few around that remain in question on that note,,,)  Remember, LOAD like the zombies are at the gate.   and stocking up on ammo does NOT all need to be ‘war’ related.   a dozen bricks of 22short and LR will last a long time for keeping the table stocked, and won’t break the bank, AND are much less likely to overload your storage capacity.   They will also make great trade goods later down the road when there are things we can’t get in the normal ways.   And they don’t attract near the same attention that an AR or AK or handcannon would when in use.

Some of the things I prep that most would look side-eyed at.  

22 ammo, both short and LR, including some sub-sonic stuff (don’t ask)

Self strike matches   (can double as a primer on a cap and ball ‘tool’)

Caps for my BP guns as well as pounds of powder.   I don’t need ball, as I have two molds, both ball and minnie ball type.(minnies are MEAN wicked to flesh: Do NOT reccomend for hunting,,,)

Chemicals that aren’t common in households these days,, Lye, sulfur, etc etc.   Things that were common 100 years ago because people knew how to use them to make other things, like SOAP,,,, (and that one is about the most benign thing i can make,,,but I digress.)

BUT, the biggest thing I can suggest, SKILLS.  Learn some, start yesterday for F’s sake,,,   You may find your skills are enough when things get really silly.  Even if what you are good at is something not tangible, like music, and you are good at it, PEOPLE WILL WANT TO BE ENTERTAINED when things stop working right: like the nets that we are ALL addicted to, with streaming services and too many choices, most not good.   Being able to mend a fence with whats on hand, add a room to a house, or repair a lawn tractor with spit, bubblegum and a paperclip,,,  You get the idea.   (I started building skill sets back in 2008, and I continually add and refine to those, even in less than ‘useful’ areas, like philosophy and religion.    )  Note, even being able to spin a yarn (writers heed this) will make tense times much more bearable, and teaching young’uns with stories has been going on since we were beating on each other with leg-bones.

People are gonna need those just as much, if not more when things get rough. 

and they may yet,,, but having and not needing are way better than not having and definitely needing.

That ‘The Rumor’ is even being taken seriously has much more to say about lifelong Democrats jumping ship than it does about the odd mix it would become.     And there are many many many in these parts doing that jumping ship, especially with the word that the DNC was offering free abortions and vasectomies this week.  A whole lot of churched, die-hard Democrats are like < NO, not just NO, but FUCK NO! >

Not that I give a rats-ass at this point.   The steal is going to have to be so blatant and in your face: Elvis will see it from the galactic core, without a telescope.

One more day, then a day of sanity on the water, and then a day of welding/repairing Da’s ta-COMA,,,  damned frame has another crack in it and it rides fine, but can’t be put on a lift.  He found out when he took it to a shop for a muffler.  

I clench tongue in teeth for my opinion as he won’t hear it even if I stated it.

Like I told the Burnout this AM on arrival to work,,, I’m more than ready to get off this hamster wheel,,,  

Well, not ‘ready’ ready,,,,   Need a self-sustaining income before I can just up and walk away from it.   OR, ditch all the fun stuff, like trucks and kayaks, and live in a yurt on the hill with goats and chickens for company,,,
