Bein’ played,,,,

Stopped in at Da’s on the way home,,, He had the new feeds running,,,, LOTS of noize about Human trafficking, lost migrant childrens, children that have fallen through the cracks so to speak and how most of them are either in slave labor or sex labor now,,,, even going so far as there is a congressional hoopdeedoo over it.

NOT ONE MENTION OF THIS

Now, the Biden(time) Shaministraion is guilty of last minute change in protocol in allowing the KrainianKlownKar con artist to use OUR weapons systems against Russia interests, DEEP IN RUSSIAN TERRITORY,,,   Got that,,,, But is the Dementia patient the one that actually said “yah, go for it” or was it one of those potatoe heads behind the curtain that will never EVER be held accountable.

sometimes the questions answer themselves, no?

Biden is at that stage in life, where vengeance on his enemies (Peelouzy and Crew) is more important than burning the bridges that carried him to this point.   Looking at his smiling contenance when he congratulated Trumped on his win, and when he met the Prez-Elect in the Oval Office,,,, Yeah, he knows he shivved the DNC and did it GOOD.    He knows the backstabbing coondawg DNC party is on the ropes and getting pummeled by national interests, to correct the NUTZO BS of the last two decades.     (the RINO’s need to take note; they are on the chopping block as well, as is shown by the Bipartisan build in personell that Trumped is assembling.  That, and those persons ALL HAVE AXES TO GRIND,,,,)

Yes, the missing kids are important, but the news feeds are distracting people from what could be a more devastating blow (hmmm,,, holiday season is fast approaching,,, might it be that the MSM’s are trying to trigger an emotional drive into things,,, not point out that the Shaminstation is still capable of destroying EVERYTHING on their way out the door,,,,)

And Remember, I said, two weeks ago, that in two weeks, P-nut and Fred the Raccoon would be swept under the rug,,,,    Yeah,,, seems that the warrant to kidnap the pets is now on the desks of SCOTUS,,,, But ya ain’t hearin’ nuttin about that either, are ya?    May not be memory holed, but sure as shit downgraded to backpage with a quickness,,,,

Fuk the MSM’s, do your own digging around to find out what is REALLY GOING ON.   Look at who Trumped is nominating, dig into who they are, what they have done, what has been done to them, etc.    Like Geatz,,, wasn’t real keen on him at first, and the libel being spread around on him is typical, but the man is a shark in a skin suit and will whittle away at those that have dirt in their closets.    McTurtle-boy needs to start digging a hole outside of Frankfort and install his safespace (and maybe send that Chi-com wife of his back to her handlers parents,,,,)  Hell, it might behoove him to find some other state to retire to, instead of returning to the grounds he defiled and salted,,,

Mid-terms are going to be interesting,,, maybe even more interesting than this past one.

As for DOGE and Musk and Ramswamy: Cut it, cut to the bone, cut deeper than that even.   Let the states become 50 independent experiments as to what works, and leave the FedGov to protect our basic national interests.  Pull all the overseas bases back home, leaving only embassies and a cadre of Marines to guard them.    The DotMil needs to only worry about our borders (where ICE could be absorbed back into the DOTMIL)  and not be the world police/AmGov strong-arm.   DEFENSE being the key word.   Yes, there needs to be some offensive ability, but as this article shows, what we have now “ain’t doin’ it” and we need to downsize and regroup/RETHINK what we have and what we need.   The benefit of the Ukrainian/Russian conflict shows us, with almost no loss of AMERICAN LIFE, that our shit DOES STINK, and all that money in high-tech toys was stolen by con-men. (or just laundered away into the MIC)

And abolish the Federal Reserve Act.   Take a clue from the BRICS, maybe even >>>WORK WITH THEM<<< to come up with a currency system that is beneficial to ALL countries, not one that leverages power to the benefit of one.  Yes, that was ok when we were essentially the last one standing, right after WWII, but that game is about to crater if we don’t get something under control and FAST,,,   And the majority of the US, KNOWS IT!!!   Well, maybe not KNOW, but they sure as shit know something ain’t right, and want someone to fix it before their accounts lose ALL VALUE and the kids are hollaring they’re hungry,,,,

62 days to Inaugeration.   62 days the Corruptocrats can finangle a stop gap measure to keep Trumped and his Cleanup Crew from ‘wrecking THIER game’,,,    As BCE says, HEAD ON A SWIVEL, and keep shining those lights into the dark crevices, looking for the roaches.   This ain’t over with by a long shot.

Seasonal Fail/Easily amused

VERY short day at the J.O.B.,,,,   It’s that time of year, and with the past Selection cycle behind us, many people were holding their cards close the chest, and due to that, we are short on work status,,,   As in, not enough to spread 8 guys around and get full days.   More like, there is a HIGH PROBABILITY I won’t be getting any time in tomorrow, and here it is two days into my work week and I am already down seven and half hours,,,,

Is what it is,,, tighten the belt and keep putting feet forward…

(and it never fails, I get squirelly with the money, the hours drop like stones.    I’ll get through, I always do. Sigh,,,,,)

Now for the easily amused thing.    I like real cream for my coffee,,, I buy the heavy whipping cream (unsweetened) for that purpose.   Well, the other night, for some unknown reason to me, my feed on the Utoobies, had a guy making, of all things BUTTER,,,  Using the cream (duH!) and a pinch of salt.    Now me being me, curious as any one of my kittehs, and likely just as curious as all three rolled into one; I decided ‘gots the time bein’ off work,,, play!’

Didn’t make much, just a half coffee mug of cream and sea salt.    Didn’t have a hand blender small enough for the container so improvised with a bamboo stick and some plastic card stock mounted in a power drill.  (yeah, totally a ‘Home Improvement’ scene,,,, LOL)

blend blend blend blend,,,, starting to look like whipped cream,,, Keep it up,,,,

blend blend blend blend,,, and suddenly there is a chunk of butter swirling around in the ‘juice’ that is actually buttermilk, blend a little more to get the rest of the butter fat out of the milk, then strain (had a coffee filter for this,,, worked, not optimal.,)   Ouila!!!  BUTTER,,,    Elbee LOVED the butter milk (I tasted it, but never have been a fan of buttermilk straight: as an ingredient in biscuits and flapjacks, yup,,, straight,  blech!, just not my thing.)

Then the real test,,, Fry a couple of eggs for a true taste test,,,,

DAMN GINA!    Thats some REAL butter,,,

I don’t buy large quantities of butter unless I am cooking a large batch of stuff (like upcoming holidays).  I usually just use olive oil or coconut oil for cooking, but I do love my butter tastes (and not that psuedo buttery flavored crap they call margarine or ‘can’t believe its not butter’ somthin’or’nudder,,,,)

Well, now, Since I am gonna buy the cream anyway, if I desire something buttered, I can make some on demand.   I have a good idea how much of the cream will make how much of the butter, and that means zero waste in the future.

Now if shit falls apart, gonna need a milch cow,,, or a nanny goat,, Similar item with different taste, but still nummers.

Yah, I’m easily amused,,,,     and easily pleased by simple things.

Thoughts on Discipline

My last post got my brainium running in circles.   And a post of Fakebuk from a friend (that I agree with usually, but this instance, NOPE)  had me shaking my head.

DISCIPLINE, a shadow term for Corporal punishment with other meanings as well. In this instance, I am using the corporal punishment meaning.

We stopped disciplining school children.

Look at what the young’ns are doing these days.   Just look at the childish tantrums being thrown (and they record them for fucks sake!) over a losing political charade.  These are ‘fully grown adults’, holding down jobs (maybe) driving cars (they like filming their tantrums in their cars)

But they are NOT Adults.

IT wasn’t all that long ago, we still had physical punishment in schools.    Simple things like Swats, where you got your ass  paddled for being a screw-up.

‘But Dio, WE are a civilized society!!!  We don’t need that sort of altercation to correct bad behaviour!”

BULLSHIT!!!    The real world doesn’t work like that, never has, never will.     IF  you were to try and live outside of a society, violence is the NORM.    IF you don’t abide by the rules, you are going to DIE.   Don’t mess with Mama-bear, and NEVER get between her and her cubs, sort of rules.

WE incarcerate our Criminals. and that has become the agreed upon ‘practice’, but look at return to jail rates.   Recidivism is practically expected these days.   In Schools, they used to do detentions or expel offenders, (and this may still be the case in some places) but the physical punishments are now VERBOTEN.

and the result is, IMO, quite expected.   NO DISCIPLINE, Toddlers throwing tantrums, no respect of any sort to others.   me me me me me me,,,,

I’m not talkiing abuse here, though there are instances where an outsider might interpret things as such (that incorigible kid that just won’t quit for example)   But like the wilds, if ‘justice’ isn’t swift and exact, the lesson won’t be learned.  More “spare the rod, spoil the child” proverbs,,,

I like Heinleins example of teaching the puppy ( in Startship Troopers)   If you don’t catch the puppy making the mess and correct him immediately, he won’t learn.  If you randomly beat on the dog for no reason, or lock him up for long periods of time (and you can’t explain why to a dog,,,), eventually that dog is going to turn and bite.

Look at our inner cities,,,

Look at the cry-babies videoing their tantrums.

Look at the products of Modern Education, showing up as freshmen in college and can’t read and comprehend  basic instructions.

We have children that can type 150wpm, but can’t scribble out their names with a pencil.   (and I don’t even want to go into the verbiage and punctuation chaos they use.)

And to point this out as unacceptable is becoming criminal,,,   Thats how society fails,,, when the standards of it are no longer ENFORCED (corporal punishment is enforcement) the standards will fall to the losest accepted level, and when that level is not set in stone,,,,

Entropy

it happens in society just as well.

Areas where I see “misinterpretation”: Bullying, now applies to ‘shaming’ as well as the narcisistic bully of old.  You can’t are not permitted to use shaming to correct bad behaviour.   Simple but effective corporal punishments; Rulers across the backs of hands, Swats across the backside, etc, are not permitted any longer.   The sudden and yes, PAINFUL, but not phyisically damaging correction focuses the recipient on ‘I don’t want that to happen again’ and steers them to making sure they don’t ‘mess up’.    We are hardwired to avoid pain, and if we aren’t using that ‘tool’ to teach (at least in some small way) we are doing our students, our prodigee, OUR FUTURE SOCIETY MEMBERS, a serious disservice, and ultimately, ourselves as well.

Lord knows, I wouldn’t want some of these ‘children’ being my Nurse or Physician when I am old and decrepit and need assitance.

sigh

Maybe I am that old soul, trapped in a younger body in a time where things aren’t the same.   BUT, I see how things were, how they could be, and I don’t see them improving without great pain before we witness a correction.   These children are going to be a burden on society and they are raising children even worse (if you want to call it raising them.)   We will see a Feral Generation that has no concept of right or wrong, if things keep going.   I often joke that Gen-X are the feral ones, and in some ways, we were, but we figured out that ‘right and wrong’ thing and did pretty good with it.   IMO, Where things shifted were in the public schools and a misinterpretation of “cruel and unusual punishment”     Maybe there should be a certain amount of cruelty built into the system,,,,,

To those that want to argue this, remember one thing ” LIFE AIN’T FAIR” and anyone telling you otherwise is trying to sell you something or take something away from you.   REAL LIFE is a Mutha and will beat you senseless if you get out of line.   And we do the kids and ourselves a disservice if we teach them otherwise.  AND, this is a broadbrush post,,,, I know there are people of the same age as those children, who aren’t totally screwed up brainwashed leftoid communists.    The ones we are exposed to are the outliers: also known as “useful idiots”.

sigh,,,,

Thinkin’ on DOGE and other things

Not just the DOGE thing, but implications and accusations I have been hearing.   One of the biggest accusations is “We are suddenly going to have a million out of work peeps on our hands”

“Welcome to the Private Sector!” is my response.

Seriously, I have never been given a promise that work would be a given, EVER.    There have been jobs I had where I left on Friday fully employeed; came back on Monday with security standing next to a box with all my stuff in it (right next to a dozen or more boxes from the other employees desks.)   The entire section was laid off over the weekend and no clue it was coming.

Its sucks, YES, but that is the risk of working for others.   AND GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE NO EXCEPTION.     I have heard some of the rules that the Unions have made with Zero Termination Clauses and such, and my mind boggles.   (thats not just government employees, but is typical of such.)    I have never held a job I can’t be fired from, and Meritocracy was the order of the day in them all.   If you can’t do the job, or worse, can’t show up for it, you were no longer employed, period, dot slash end discussion.   And there was no safety net of unemployment insurance since if you couldn’t manage to get to work, then your termination was ‘justified’.

DOGE (Musk and crew) have stated that they would be offering substantial seperation packages in the upcoming fun.     Better to lose a little on the seperation than much more over decades of useless make work type bullshit with 5 weeks PTO a year, plus 2 weeks Sick leave, among the many other bene’s.

Welcome to the Private Sector.   I kinda doubt you are going to find any work mirroring your last position, so you may wanna bone up on those things called “skills”.

But the real thing I am hoping for,,, I want to see the States doing similar actions.   I want to see a culling of the useless eaters that suck up “WorkFare”, bleeding away tax revenues for ‘showing up’.

Maybe if this little experiment shows substantial reduction of the size of Government and in conjunction, GOVERNMENT SPENDING, than maybe there are some Governors that would implement the same at the State level.  Probably not Califruitopia,,,, (sorry BOM)

Shrinking the scope of the Agencies and Bureaus should be the key goal here.   I just can’t fathom the sheer number of redundant agencies out there.   ITs micro-management at its worst.  Micro-managed businesses FAIL, and the only thing that has been propping this one up is tax revenues and fake money.

Cut the Fat,  trim it down to the basics.  Encourage people to take back some of their power (like security at airports) and do away with hated agencies that do nothing (TSA: 400+ employees arrested for a myriad of charges, ZERO terrorists caught in its 23 years existence.  And it hampers travel business.)

BUT THE BIGGEST THING THAT NEEDS REMOVED*

Some of those Omnibus bills that keep getting re-upped on their Sunset dates.  Like the PATRIOT ACT.   That damned thing does nothing GOOD for this country and only increases the size and scope and power of the PROBLEM.    Get the Government out of the Insurance business is another aspect.

Sure, if these things happen, its gonna be rough and tumble for a few years as the disturbance spreads out.   But after the initial wave front, the waters will calm down and the markets will find working solutions, DECENTRALIZED SOLUTIONS, LOCAL SOLUTIONS that fit what the communities need, not some mandated ‘one size fits all’ regulation that makes life difficult and can be corrupted with ease.

Tighten that belt, things are going to get WYRD for awhile, but I think, and I hope it happens fast enough, when the turmoil has settled down, the end result will be more like it was when I was a kid, ONLY BETTER.    People being people, not screaming toddlers afraid of their own shadows.

*maybe the biggest thing needed removed is the Department of Education.   That is a failed experiment to the Nth degree.   And yet we continue to throw more and more money down that hole to improve it.     Cut the beast loose, let the local communities decide standards, and deregulate teaching certification.    We already have the laws on the books to handle bad actors (pedophiles, which the Zero Termination Clauses protect) and let meritocracy come back into play.  If you can teach, TEACH; if you can only babysit, go home.    Sure, there will be some bad actors that slip through the cracks, and some children will fall prey to them, but over the long run, those will go the wayside as the laws are engaged and acted on.  The price to pay will be to high for that sort so they will look elsewhere.      ON an aside to that, I think we need to bring back one standard that was common place through to the 1900’s, and still is with us in name only.    Elementary schools, High(er) schools, then College and Graduate schools.     Elementary through the 8th grade.   75% of the populace only needs that, and can do wonderous things with it, (Edison was only an 8th grade graduate.)  Let the kids start working earlier than we currently have been.   The High Schools should handle those that show promise, and from there, they can matriculate into the colleges and graduate schools as ability is shown.    Not everyone needs Formal “Liberal” education.  Liberal being the ORIGINAL Defintion of higher education, meaning ‘broadly applied’ but was stolen by leftoids and twisted in meaning.  IN a nutshell: bring back the Trivium and Quadrivium education cycles and let this failed ‘everyone gets the same education and equal outcomes’ Shitte go to hell in a handbasket.   Kill the subsidized higher education programs and let them compete as they used to.  Prices will fall accordingly.    And amazingly, Standards will rise.

Gonna needa bigger,,,,

Truck, or van, or sumpin,,,,

The uses I put Buffalo to, she’s a bit crowded up inside (and out).

OR, maybe I just need to get a different “Work Truck” and only use it through the week.   Buff could carry boats and camp gear and always be ready to roll (and not get so many miles on her)

Or I need to downsize some,,,,

NAW!!!!   I like my tools(toys), and I especially like being CAPABLE and those tools definitely put me on that list.   I still get things done without them, but Jury-rigged repairs are bandaids waiting to fail.

(funny story: one of the guys at the J.O.B. thought that was an actual college ‘shield’ and wanted to know what school I went to.  LOL    I told him Hard Knock Community college and Life lesson University with my Masters from LOW-Tech,,,   It took him a minute to catch on, then he did a double take and actually READ the shield.    )

Long story short, Had to replace a Sawzall this week; more debt on the card, but would rather it be at the prices I am seeing than whats to come, and to have and not need, than need and not have.   The old Sawzall burned it’s brushes out while doing a job (and why I prefer the modern brushless types) full blown ‘let the magic smoke out’ moment.   Was still running, but there was noticable drop in power.   Added another impact driver (old one is seven years old and getting flaky.) and a portable 2 gal wet/dry vac to the mix as well.   Can’t say how many times one of those has pulled miracles for me (pulling feeder string through conduit for electric runs,,, clean up to keep a client sedate,,,,) Well worth having on hand.    Not too hateful: only added 3 Benjamins to my debt, and that won’t take long to knock back down.   Even so, the prices on the ‘deals’ had gone up $20 since last week alone.   Everyone is slowing raising prices BEFORE Black Friday so they can say they reduced prices for Black Friday.   HA!    See it every year.   AND I will never shop on BF, period.   I’ve seen the ugly side of humanity on that day and I steer well clear of that.    I’ll take the higher prices before or after over the potential loss of freedom I would have to endure if confronted with ‘Stoopid’,,,,

Did I mention that Buff is getting crowded?      Yah,,, A crew cab truck that can only carry one passenger,,,   that backseat is LOADED, Half tools, half camp/kayak gear.   The bed has a full width box on it that carries more tools, and then you have the kayak rack on roof and truck bed: that ALWAYS has a kayak on board.

Anywonder I don’t get great MPG?  LOL.   (actually, she doesn’t do half bad for a block with 320K on the odo.  Just do regular oil changes and she holds her own.   I know when the MPG starts to drop, its time for an oil change.)

No boatin’ today.   Decided there were too many things needed done here to fart around with luggin’ Lyssa up and down hills to water.    With the weather being topsy-turvy up-down mercury scales, and wet/cold; my kayakin’ is gonna be a little more hit/miss right now.   I try to make up for the lost days by using the Ergometer, (which needs new ropes this year,,, looking bad frayed.) even though its not the same, its close enough.  And I don’t have to don mad levels of protective clothing to use the Erg,,,  Drysuits and wetsuits are something of a pain in the butt,,,,(which also gets weighed in when going boatin’.)

There are TWO days that are written in stone for kayaking during winter.    Solstice and New Years day.   Solstice because I can, New Years as my promise to the upcoming year and a chance to G&C for it.   And one of these years, I am going to be hit the ‘lottery’ and get to paddle during snow,,,  (krazy? mehbe 😛  )

Not a prefered situation, but a goal I wish for so I can say “Done it!”,,,,

The shadows are getting longer, and there are still things need attended to, and this post is a ramblin’ mess anyways,,,,

FYI-YMMV (updated)

Kinda sorta did an experiment this past week.    I went back to my old diet for 7 days.   Mostly due to ‘budget cuts’ with small paychecks and the fact that the bills don’t shrink unless you pay them (over pay them and NOT use the damned cards,,,,)

Had been doing the Paleo thing,,, lots of meat, few carbs (and my biggest issue with the carbs is ‘pop’, or Soda if you are westycoasty,,,   Getting better about it though.)

One week.

One STINKING seven day period.

It started up tuesday evening, and at first I was thinking ‘just a rough day at work’,,,

The pains were creeping in.   My arthritic joints were starting to flair, and back pains were creeping down into my hip joints,,,   This was the NORM late last year when I decided I needed to do something, and then read that Jordan Peterson (inspired by his daughter) went all meat diet; lost wieght and lost pains, (that last being the selling point to me.)

Keep to the experiment,,,,    Went ahead tuesday night with the ‘new/old’ diet,   heavy on carbs (pasta) partial meat line up but some veggie stuffs too (not my olives that have become a staple.)

I could barely move yesterday I hurt so damned bad.  I needed a couple of Excedrin with my morning coffee to get going.   Felt like I had pulled my groin the pain the hips was so bad, as well as being near crippled with back pain.

FUCK THIS!!!    Went back to an all meat diet, low on the carbs (as low as I can go without full cold turkey on cocacola,,, my weakness,,,) High protein, few starches, if any.

and while today, I still hurt, its not the crippling, knock me to the floor pains that I was getting on Tuesday.   I can stand upright without twinges in the spine.

Oh, And my BP had been spiking too: I felt lightheaded Tuesday eve, and checked: 139/98 RESTING,,,,    Yeah, no wonder I was feeling light headed.     Tonight, after a meal of Ribeye, slab of cheese and green and black olives,,,, 118/70,,,,  this right after eating when BP goes up a touch for digestive purposes.

Modern foods are killing us,,,   The Government outline of ‘healthy foods’ is a marketers ploy NOT BASED IN FACTS (and that has been proven)   The obesity problem is NOT in how we eat, but WHAT we eat.    I recall my grandmothers breakfast tables from when I was a wee sprout: loaded to the gills and nowhere to sit.  Grab a plate and find a spot somewhere in the house, seconds and thirds encouraged (eat up or the hogs get the slop,,,,)   And not one fat person in the house!!!   Granted all of the men were workhorses with hard labor jobs, and they needed that store of energy to get to the next meal, but none of them were like the blobs I see in the grocery stores, or wallyworld, these days.   Land whales is what I ‘affectionately’ call them.  And the most offensive to me are the kids: under 18 and showing ROLLS of fat and signs of disease that are common among the overwieght.  Things like asthma, skin issues, BODY ODORS,,,

So I am back on the Paleo diet, not because I can afford it, but because I CAN’T AFFORD NOT TO.   I’d rather be a little more broke than teetering on heart failure (which I am genetically inclined towards)   Ain’t afraid of dyin’, just have no desire to go there just yet,,,,Especially when I can make a choice to hold that at bay ‘just a little longer’.

Watch your health, watch what you eat and how your body reacts to it.   My diet may not work for you, your’s likely doesn’t work for me.  One week is long enough to find out if something is working or not; two will show a decided difference.   Your body processes REAL FOOD so much faster and easier than some of the junk for sale out there.   And that includes fastfood places,,,   There are some that have decent food, but most are right there with GMO crap that your body has no clue how to process well.  (and that includes the beef that is fed with GMO corn,,,,   If my Kat won’t touch the stuff, its probably a bad idea for me as well.)

Ok, stepping off my box,,,

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

I was worried earlier this week about RFKjr being shafted.     That Fear has been laid to rest. Sic’em Robert!!!

This is always a fun (yet depressing) subject,,,

INFLATION

Francis does his cover of it here

And I have done so in meatspace on more than a few occasions.   My favorite is using the 1911 as the value guide.

Full discussion can be found here.

At one time, (and still, but the cost has changed significantly) the USG produced $20 gold coin; one troy ounce of gold with a face value of $20.   For obvious reasons, and maybe not to the uninformed, that $20 gold peice is gonna run you well over $2000 in todays Reserve notes.

Its not that the value of the coin has changed, but the value of the NOTES used.    Thats inflation.   They INFLATE the ‘money’ supply and what remains is worthless paper (in truth, it reverts to its’ intrinsic value.).

And there was a DuckTales comicbook about what happens when you increase the supply versus the available goods for purchase.    I wish I could find that again, since it explained INFLATION so neatly that even a 6 year old could understand how inflation is subtle theft hidden behind careful wording.   sigh,,, so much lost in the foggy past, even with our tech today, finding snippets like that is trying to find a needle in a hayfield.

Not the one I recall,  but hits all the points

I don’t know what the plans are, IF ANY other than ‘tarrifs’, to bring that supply back in line with reality.   The National Debt is so far off the hook, it can never be paid back, and I don’t think the government has any intentions of even trying.   The Banks on the other hand,,,,    Try and play that game as an individual and see how rapidly you end up in trouble.     Maybe doing away with Debtors prison wasn’t such a hot idea,,,   (not that we could toss the poli-tickians into it for creating this mess,,,)

EVEN SO, shrinking the size and scope of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is not a bad thing.   Doing so will cut back a lot of the problems with overbudget spending by simply reducing the size of the bill.   Serious cuts are needed, and not just in the spending on welfare and the like, but in salaried positions that don’t actually do a damned thing but hold the people down, crippling innovation and drive.  (if you know before you start a business, that you will need to beg permission and jump through hoop after hoop after hoop in regulations and Permits, there is a strong chance you won’t bother.)   Like Elon talking about the Sharks,,,,

“Am I in a bad comedy skit?”

We all are, and we are the butt of the joke.   And the Comedians are the bankers IMO.

================================

Rained out, again.    Seasonal work sucks on that note.   Rolling into holiday seasons and the pay gets cut by weather.   sigh,,,,,      Well, not weather alone.   right now people are playing close to the bone financially, and that cuts into everyone’s payroll to some extent.  Our business also has the weather factor added in so this time of year means tighter paychecks and snug that belt tighter to get through.

No matter what happens over the next few months, with Trumpeds efforts to curtail a man-made disaster in finances, things are gonna get tight(er) for everyone.    ANY benefit that may come about is going to be in the future, not an immediate return.   The biggest thing that he could do is deregulate energy production: that would lower the costs on everything across the board, and while not a complete solution, would be a start.

And kill the department of education.   KILL IT.     I wouldn’t mind working one day a week FOR FREE MIND YOU, to teach kids about the economy, REAL money, and a lot of the other things that ARE NOT TAUGHT.    Knowledge is the ultimate currency, information is a commodity (and it shows in our current economic state.) and if you have neither, you are a destitute peon.    (and lord, how I wish I could get more people to learn how to ENJOY reading,,,   Not just for the enjoyment, but the fact that readers tend to be better, more rounded THINKERS,,,,)

rambling,,,, icky weather,,,  BORED KATS, so my focus keeps getting hit broadside by two Tomkats playing,,,,  one of which weighs 14#
