Talked to Big Country last night, he’s still alive and kickin’, just layin’ low and that his muse has taken a hit lately with all the fun of She Who Shall Not Be Named,,,  

Knowing bloggers, he’ll be back up and at it soon.   We have this thing were we can’t just walk away from it, and I can’t explain it very well.   It’s not quite addiction, but not so far from that either.  I call it a catharsis, but I think its deeper than that.   Deeper like metaphysical,,, 

BUT,,, BCE is still kickin’ and will be back with us soon enough.   Just taking some time away from the webs.

Not sure how y’all view my site.   It’s different depending on if you are using the WP app, a phone browser (mobile view) or looking on the desktop.  

If you are on desktop, you’ll note there are some visual changes taking place.

This podcast frankenstein monster is taking on a life, and not sure I am all that comfortable with the directions its trying to pull me.

See, there is a hosting service I can use, RIGHT NOW, but implimenting it will cause some changes HERE, right HERE.  

or NOT HERE, but somewhere else, kindasortalike,,,,

I can upgrade my wordpress service and do uploads directly to my site,,, BUT, that changes my site,,, IE I would have a domain name and the current page you are looking at would be as some other real-estate package in the cloud.   That means you would be changing your bookmarks on your end to keep up.     All of my content would still be available, but elsewhere,

and it costs,

but the ease of publishing,,,,

toss in a comment and let me know what you think.   I can pull the trigger on this today if that is the way to go, but I’m still a little out there on the domain idea.  (note, it would be “diosworkshop.com, nothing fancy, and not so different from current, but, it IS a change.)   I did this once before, way back when I was still running sound and trying to go independent, and that site,,,   dead as Poes Ghost,,,,     BUT, that one was all HTML ALL THE TIME and was a major pain in the ass to maintain (which is why I prefer a hosting company, like wordpress, to handle all the HTML side of things.

The other options are all outside of WP, and some are free (very limited in file sizes, or frequency, or Content permissions) but would require me to jump platforms back and forth.   MORE WORK in otherwords.   SO, I am leaning to upgrading to a domain,,,   Just, well,   dunno,,,, Changes can be harrowing when you have been in one place for so long (15 years!!!)

yah,,, I know “GROW A PAIR DIO!!!”   shushh, you!  fug off and let me wallow in my self pity and anxiety,,, LOL   

Anywhoos,,, I am likely going to do that, but I want to give fair warning that one day, you may try to pull up my site and find “404 error, URL not found.”  and that would be why.    See, I don’t know if they will maintain this site for a spell as ‘xxxxx.wordpress.com’ or put a re-direct script in that (this) old domain to the new.  or for how long.    THAT is really what has my anxiety up in arms right now.    The new site will have all of my old stuff there (imported, so may break a lot of links)

shush,,,, I know, I’m spilling all the ‘I don’wanna’s and overthinking this shit,,,,

let me know what you think in comments and I’ll keep researching the actual move part in the background.  (like do I need to do a complete redesign?    probably should anyways; getting kinda grungy here in the shop with all the broken links and lost images.)

Opened Audacity tonight, Had my pre-written script all set up,,, and just to let you know/understand, I write the script, but ONLY to keep my head tracking in a certain direction, I don’t ‘Stick to the script’,,, Its not exactly from the hip, like my writing, but it ain’t far from it either.
