Admittedly, I know nothing about the actual goings on, involved, injured or what not. Seems that most of the injuries are from a traffic accident caused by the shooter, but hey, what do I know about it? I was 60 miles away at the time and only found out about it through other means.

I saw this in the comments section of the article.

just blame Trump and his voting base (they act like we are a religious lot and he is our messiah. HAH! anything but, but better than the shit we have had to choose from since Reagan.)
Let me break this down a bit.
I AM THE WEAPON!!! If and thats a big IF, I deem you “need killin’ “, you will die. Doesn’t matter if you are removed from existence by a rifle round delivered to your cranium from 600 meters, or that 4# rock applied to the side of your head, that just happens to be available on the side of the trail. As I said, I AM THE WEAPON, everything else is just a tool to an end.
Luckily for the world, I am not THAT Judgemental. I also think the best revenge is to out-live the fuckers, letting their own stupidity do them in over time.
The real problem with that take is how STOOPID some of those people are. Like the asshat that made that comment above. NEVER ADMIT YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. Seems to be the Mantra of the left. No admission that failed policies are problem, that those same failed policies start to stack up and create even more issues.
Make it so the Crazies can’t be restrained in institutions. Create mad homeless issues. Remove funding from police departments and have AG’s refuse to prosecute certain laws; Crime starts to go through the roof.
Start “INFRINGING” on that which should never be touched, and you create GAPS in societal means. There was a time where showing up at school with your rifle/shotgun in the cab of your truck was completely normal; especially during hunting season. (granted, more a rural living thing than an inner city thing) There were even clubs for shooting in our schools.
THEN CAME THE LEFTARDS wishing for a ‘more enlightened world’, a “Utopian way”, whatevers,,,, And the infringements began, the weapons ban (they call it that, I call it a tool ban, but hey,,, I’m dangerous just having a functional brain.)
AND THEN THEY BLAME ANYONE THAT DOESN’T THINK LIKE THEM AS THE PROBLEM!!! They hate Trump, so this situation is HIS AND HIS FOLLOWERS FAULT! Uhm, ok,,,, How about all the psychotropic meds flooding the country to keep those disturbed individuals ‘calm cool and collected’,,,
How about the fact that EVERY school shooter in the last decade has been some leftist twit that went off their meds,,,, wanna blame that one on Trump and his vote base, too?

It does, but not to those that don’t want to see it. Those convinced they are the majority because they follow the tropes of the MSMs. Those that never learned of “Unintended Consequences”, or have never been punched in the face.
As I started with this post; I have no clue what happened, whos involved,,, nothing, but that it happened in a state with a blue GUV, that has a ‘Homeland Security” agency of thier own (sorry, thats so SOVIET its unsettling.) and followed on the heels of another School shooting,,,,, This reeks of more ammo for the Blood Dance to “take away our guns”,,,, (and Andy B, all the way over in the state capitol had better think twice before trying that shit here in SEKY,,,, There are more guns here hiding behind Grampies door, some of which are bring homes from WWII and Korea,,,, Just sayin’ FAFO if you want,,, I think your state troopers have a better understanding of what lays in wait if they try.)
So what is Dio trying to say with all of this?
Seek peace, but don’t try to force it with the sword.
And that is exactly what the left has been trying to do since ’68. Take away the teeth of liberty and warp the society in divisions and hatred, all so they can retain POWER.

The end of fifty-five
One year gone, one of 55 circumnavigations of the sun; the one where I had proposed “100 miles a month” in kayaking.
Ok, so I dropped that ball as if it were a lead weight bigger than me. What I DID do (for the most part) was hit water once a week, sometimes twice, and my miles did add up: around 200 or so. 1000, give or take, LESS than my proposal.
But it did me good: my water anxiety is gone. My trust of my skills and the design of the boats has grown. (And a HUGE part of that was in taking Rio down the Pigeon, twice, at two different flow rates. She showed me things these little boats can do, that I needed to learn at the gut level.)
And I am wrapping this year out with an overnight excursion. Temps are supposed to plummit into the 40s overnight: dont care! GOING!!!
And maybe this year will see a rise in those milage numbers.
My quest for a “better” boat continues. Looking at P&H, and NDK with a smattering of other makers. And I’m watching for those deals,,, They are out there, just not always with good timing.
Yah, I could probably make my ‘near perfect’ (there are always compromises) boat; but the investment involved,,, I think waiting for the deal will be the better bet. Rising costs of materials doesnt help my motitvation any either.

And I had already done a bit of a dive into the groups Utoob entries. I can understand why they want to keep the group ‘exclusive’, though I find the mentality a bit misleading: almost a repeat of what got us into the messes we are in today, with group think from ‘exclusive Class groups’ from Ivy-league and hereditary ranks.
That being said though, the messages are NOT exclusive and are being broadcast for the benefit of others. Thats quite a bit more than I can say for our “governing class” that hides behind legislations, being handled by unknown actors and monetary interests,,,, As some comedian (Carlin?) stated once “Our Representatives should be forced to wear overalls like Nascar and Formula One drivers, so that we know who sponsors them,,,“
and with THAT being said, I am going to take one peice of advice from GRIM,,, It’s not even that hard to do, since it will be a mere evolution of something I have been doing already. The suggestion is to have a day of SILENCE once a week, and a week of it, once a year. Well, I go kayaking once a week, usually solo (Most always solo, actually) and that silence isn’t external, its INTERNAL. Slow down, listen to the world (not the human world) and the world will talk to you: BUT YOU HAVE TO SHUT UP AND LISTEN FIRST.

I wish I had heard/heeded the things being said, thirty-five plus years ago. Things would be quite different in my little reality. Things that are being touched on, I had to learn the hard way because I didn’t have mentors that knew it.

Nothing new to me,,, been on that educational slide since 2008, have even said some of his points here, on occasion.
NOW, go back and re-read that quote above and tell me; Do you feel represented by our “Democracy”? (it’s NOT Democracy, and they keep shoving that non-truth in your face because “repeat the lie so often, it becomes ‘truth’, that which is accepted as ‘common knowledge’.)
Go to your county election board, volunteer as an observer or what not, get in the system to help confront whatever they are gonna try to do. If you are in the BLUE cities, this action becomes even more important, because that is where the steal is going to to happen, ‘hardest’. I have read where a couple of places have purged thier voter roles, to find them back in place the next day/week. And that is something so easy for anyone with access and certian priviledges of access can do with a simple copy paste from a data file. Hell, it may be written into the code to reactivate certaIn files with NO interaction from some ‘bad actor’. Back when I was in IT, I wrote a very simple three line script for a windows unit to restart every night and to update only certain files, ignoring all others. There were zero inputs for the staff to use as it was just computer running a monitor of patient charts for the nurses to see ‘in real time’. All the chart activity was through other points. To keep ‘glitches’ down, we had the unit reboot every night at dead shift switch over.
If I could do that, and I have little programming skill (or I would be doing it more for a living) why not have a certain file regenerate at will, whenever the file is ‘fiddled with’.
(and I am sure there is someone that reads this, whom will tell me that its even easier than that,,,, and I know it is, but I am so far removed from playing with windoze units, I’m rusty as hell on file management protocols.)

Back to that quote,,, IF factual, and I firmly believe it to be,,, then Trumped’s statements about “Deep State” are not strong enough. This goes back to my opinion that there is a civil war going on WITHIN our government, between INtel and State, and some other groups, with shifting alliances,,,,

I’m watching the Kabuki theater and seeing signs of reality creeping in, Maybe this time will spell out a different outcome. Watch the numbers,,, It’s gonna be obvious and I doubt that even the most loyal MSM is gonna be able to say ‘Fair and honest election’ with a straight face (even if Trumped wins, its gonna be so close that the numbers won’t match actual voater roles.)
I got nuthin today. What I wanna talk about is unimportant and what I should discuss is not ringing my bell. Volume and speed, more volume than speed. Fully loaded, Lyssa maxed at 4 and cruised at 3.4. Those are BlueJeans numbers. Granted, it was wyld water day and paddling uphill slows a body down, but I could feel how sluggish she was. Aft waves had more control over her than usual: might have been a balance of weight issue, she was pretty loaded,,,
Longer is faster, longer with higher decks means more (or in my case, better loaded) gear. Needz a bigger boat if I wanna get serious about playing with kayakamping,,,,

Back at the Buffalo now. Lyssa n gear all loaded up; just takin’ a minute to re-orient meself. Just paddled 4 miles of open water, straight line right down the middle of the lake. No boat traffic to speak of today (yet). Time to go home and set it all back up and get some fans blowing the moisture out, get some other stuff cleaned up (including me).

and home now,,,, porch looks like a damned rummage sale with gear stretched out on lines to dry and a tent set up on one side. Voo is truly cunfuzzed about all the smells of woods and lake and fishes and Dawg only knows what else was out there. At least he isn’t trying to mark everything as his,,,, I might get a bit miffed if that leg hikes up,,,,
I’d love to give y’all an exciting story of adventure and what not, but,,, Hell, I was cooped up in a tent for 12 stinking hours, mostly sleeping it away, sitting out storms. I think there were three that blew through overnight. I know come 5 AM, it was silent as the grave out there, no boat traffic, no winds, no thunder, no flashing dancing lights in the sky.
and WET!!!
And I figured out, a tarp does NOT work as a ground cloth for a tent. The only thing DRY around that campsite was UNDER THAT TARP and everything over it was wet or damp as hell. Including inside the tent. I had standing water under the sleep-pad when I packed out. SO,,,, Either the tent had a leak (one very small one I did see) or I kept tracking it in with me when I braved the downpours to take a leak (most likely scenario). Normally when I camp, I use a rainfly and a hammock. I would have done so this trip, but I wanted that ‘wet test’ of the tent. If I am kayakamping, there may be times where I won’t have access to trees that will support a hammock so I keep that tent as an ‘alternate’. It didn’t fail, but my ‘delight’ in it is less than stellar. I do like my hammock though, so I am a bit biased.
All in all, was a good shake-down run of my gear, and only one item is getting changed out. Would like a folding skillet instead of the 10″ kitchen skillet I took, but it worked, worked well and stowed “well enough” (that handle was the glitch in stowage.)
No bear run-ins (did see tracks on the beach) no punked skunks trying to raid my food,,,, Actually, I didn’t see a damned thing as for wildlife yesterday. I did see a flock of geese on the wing this morning, but that was it. I guess all the traffic ran everyone under cover,,,,
Home, safe, dry and clean; all the gear is getting in the same shape, slowly.
and tomorrow is socialists day,,, Thinking of my post for that and will tap it out laters.

ROFLMAO UPDATE! Finished putting the last of things away, rolled up and back in thier respective bags, and RRRRuuummmmBBBBLlelleesss!!! Bam!!! Kentucky Monsoon hits,,,, Sitting here on the porch watching the water fall, but it sure is a pleasant change being able to look out at it while dry, compared to being cooped up in an enclosed tent with only hearing (of which, mine is faulty) to warn of dangers.
