pulled Bloo apart to get at the valve seals, and even managed to do one (and get the spring keepers back in) Going the long road on this,,, doing one cylinder at a time,,, Best that way for many reasons,,, Take the moment to focus on those minute parts like the keepers,,, Use shop towel to cover the whole and smack it with hammer to make sure the keepers get seated properly (trick I learned with the Fiats,,,) Towel there to catch anything if they decide to fly apart. Lots of stored energy in valve springs: not quite grenade level, but sure seems like it when little bits get tossed will-he-nil-he.

Gonna have lots of little towel parts to pull loose too. My insurance policy is a tarp under Bloo to catch any wayward parts (keep ’em out of leaves and gravel) and stuffing the oil drains with towelling to make sure a potential dropped keeper doesn’t make its way towards the pan. AND being meticulous in process,,,,

Its Friday the 13th, my usual day for playing that lotto thingy. I dropped a few notes on that game today,,, Who knows,,, Can’t win if you don’t play, and the only times I play are Friday13ths Only 3 this year. This month, next and one in November. I usually ‘break even’. Hit just enough numbers to get back my initial investment. Once made double back. Its gambling, blind gambling at that. Not like in cards where you have facial tells and such. But I don’t play cards,,, I can’t pokerface for shit,,,

My usual gambles are backed up by my knowledge and skills, My most recent gamble was Bloo, and I failed to account for a trend around here: the ‘drive it till it breaks’ trend. So I bought into a problem child and it sorta bit my ass. It WILL pay off eventually,,, Maybe even sooner, depending on how this repair fairs. (the one seal I pulled so far was ‘soft’ but did look worn out. I figured they would be hardened and cracking, but I’ve only seen the one so far.)

Decent week. Coulda been better ‘ceptin’ I had to take half a day for Da/Docs. I did manage to pay TWO bills this week. Not hammering ’em hard, YET, but definitely NOT minimal payments. The only way to eat a sasquatch,,, one forkful at a time. That leaves me open to hammer the principle on one that I really do need to hammer down on, next week. (three weeks before its actual due date. May get to make two payments on it this month.)

Yah,, notta much to talk at here. Dealing with Da, dealing with docs, dealing with fams and appeasing tensions. Things ain’t great, but I’m still upright n breathing, I guess thats a goodness? Hoping to find a different doctor, one not in some frellin’ network setup, PRIVATE PRACTICE type,,, Looking, but they are a rarity, especially ’round here.
