An interesting (to me) morning,,,, I think I ‘get it’ now,,
What the heck is Dio talkin’bout now?
just this: what happens when the words in your head lose ALL meaning, and you are left with pure emotion. Yet, the emotion is so stable as to be a flatline? No ego! No strife!
just “Being”

If I could bottle where I am spiritually right now,,,,
i started the day in such a state of Being, even Cozzie felt it, joining me in yoga this morning, making me laugh. Elbs was a puddle o kat when he joined me at my desk, perfectly mirroring my mind,,,
more laters as my day progresses,

While i do understand why so many leave “christianity” the religion. i do not understand why they leave Christ. i too see and encounter the same problems so many talk about, ( the buildings, the clichés, the competitions, the politicks, the hypocrites, the false idols, the man created traditions, etc. etc. etc. So many do not seem to get He is available at all times to be within us each and every day. Right now not in some utopian future. Yet the world must and will run its course.
What does one gain by following Buddha or any other over the teachings of Christ Himself?
2-3 years ago they built a pho minh temple in my town. i have not yet seen it actually open. No cars, no traffic, not very good upkeep of the grounds. Very peculiar place, to me.)What would i possibly gain by entering this building and statues that i do not already have at my disposal?

I’m not gonna pick this apart too much. I just wanna point to one of the teachings of Christ himself. He mentions, repeatedly, that the ‘way’ is inside. Not just “IN HIM”, He NEVER wanted to be the foundation of a religion, and the very aspect of CHRIST as religion, IMO, he would find offensive. Buddhism never tries to place another above the fold, it directs you “INSIDE”, much as Christ himself directed. Hermeticism does the same. Its not that I despise the teachings, only the way they have been manipulated for control. THAT is why I recoil so strongly against any that tell me the path is THROUGH Christ,,,
As for that temple you are witness to: it really doesn’t surprise me. The Buddhist temples are usually maintained, not by congregation, but by monks residing in them. If a place was built but didn’t have a small army of monks to install, then yeah, its gonna go downhill. Likely it was someone laundering money to have it built and the end goal was only that: not an actual useful temple.

Have been thinking the same on Buddhist Temple. It seemed more like ceremony of achievement for the city “planners” than anything.
You and i can have conversations. we are just missing the camp fire.
Not to many speak of “The way. This is something recently gaining my attn. i do believe Christ is the way, He is the rock, not Peter as some would have you believe. Seems like this point is a pivot point for much that happened after.
I do agree , “religion” does run away with itself.
Good luck with service truck, a little TLC, and patience….

Something to add: I think a lot of the confusion is in the names. As example. “Buddha” is not a name of a person, but a state of being. Most people don’t understand that and think its attributed to ‘THE’ Buddha, not a state of mind/spirit. Much like CHRIST could be/has been attributed to ONE PERSON. if you look towards the original meanings of the words themselves, then the whole genre starts to meld and mold into ONE mindset/goal. Both are so similar as to be one and the same when the end goal is considered. It may be that my “Attitude” towards ‘Christ’ is biased because of personal history, and likely so. Its not the names that matter; its the endgoal.
I do not believe in a heaven, in the cannonical sense: I DO believe that we are living in a type of hell, and that our goal is to achieve a state of ‘perfection’ if you will, to elevate ourselves, our SOULS out of this hell.
I get the feeling that you and I could have many a long night, greeting the dawn type conversations,,,,,

Correct. Christ is not His name. It would also seem that Jesus is also not His True Name.
God which so many on the world stage is using for much of their own gain is also not His name. Very manipulative what many are now doing. i guess they have always done this but never so much in your face.

it was in your face, but with the information age, the cracks are showing. Too many HONEST works from early days that were buried (literally) or Libeled into obscurity and heresy by those that desired control.
FACT: in the Gnostic texts, early versions, CHRIST was one of the first ‘births’ of the ALL,,, not a human, but a Spiritual Manifestation of the ALL, along with his ‘sister’ Sophia (greek term, meaning Wisdom) And there were a few others in that inception. Take it as you will, but ME, PERSONALLY, I much prefer the idea that “GOD” is not the one infered in the Old Testament, but one that is indifferent to his creations, with us being mere representations of his thoughts, (his being a generic term for lack of better and not as gross as “It”) Our “Soul Mission” is to attempt to regain that level,,, not just be a representative thought.
