Fuggit!!!!
NO, it really isn’t ready for prime-time, but I’m frustrated with the day,,,, my own doing,,, tackling a ‘cast with NO script/mindmap,,, Did it to me-self, I did.

What follows is what ya get for all my efforts (and kitteh-klaw marks on my thigh: another reason I couldn’t keep my head in effort. Thanks Mama!)
This one was recorded straight to the Mac, using my new hardware, and all of it completed without need of changing ‘venue’; No bouncing between phone and computer. The transcript was done by MacWhisper and came out a lot better than the other transcription mode I was using. (and I am leaving it unedited at this stage, its damned close,,, though punctuation, run-ons,,, if you read and listen, it’ll make sense.). Getting my stuff lined up right, now, just gotta get my head on straight, with maps, directions, and GOALS for the point.
Enjoy (let me know if you like ‘the new sound’)
TRANSCRIPT: [Music] Welcome back to the Cog Speaks. Something on a substack that I read yesterday, day before, something like that. T.L. Davis, and I like T.L. He,,, we met up in Pennsylvania during the first official Pat Com. We probably spent about two hours at the mess tent just talking, a few other people. But we’re talking about T.L. and he put up a substack the other day called Electricity as Elixer. And he starts right off saying, “I haven’t slept in three days so deal , this is probably a little crazy.” But that’s not the point. It’s not crazy. We are addicted to power. And I’m not just talking political power. I’m talking electricity, fossil fuels. We’re addicted. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. That readily available energy is what has pulled this world, the entire world out of the gutter. If it weren’t for readily available cheap energy, well I wouldn’t say we’d be banging the rocks together. We’d definitely be shoveling a lot more horse shit. But there’s a price. And that’s why he brings up in his substack here. It came at a price. And it’s not necessarily good to. We lost focus. We lost focus on our purpose. And as a species, I think we lost purpose. Not all of us. Some of us are like, “Some people may not like the man Elon Musk.” But Elon and his efforts. Yeah, they’re profit-driven. But it’s not just profit that drives him. He wants to see the human race evolve. He wants to see us off this prison planet and expanding through the stars. If we could expand through the stars, I think, “Well, okay, we’ll take all the conservatives and we’ll send them this direction. We’ll take all the socialists in that direction.” And in 500 years, let’s come back and see what happened. Just a mind game. I’m not even going to go down the road as to which direction I think things would go on. But that’s the point. This planet is way too small to have such wide divides. And those wide divides have been killing people for 100 years, or longer, really. But we can take about 2,500 years. Those divides are forged in blood. And I have totally lost my train of thought here. Let’s take this back to T.L. I’m going to read something here. Right now I’m quoting from T.L.’s sub-stack here. Everyone knows that AI is the end of humanity. Those close to it, developing it even, know it. They’re trying to melt what’s it to become immortal. I mean, the visions of these people are medieval. Go back to the fountain of youth and you get how retrograde they truly are. And electricity is their magical elixer. But if they achieve their goal, they end humanity and cross into some hybrid. As if that’s an answer to everything, to anything other than their own destruction. And more powerful and immortal to become light gods, which they already consider themselves. They just want to put the final stamp on it. The more they will become jealous and resentful the other gods. And he elaborates this to say that that’s just like, I mean, this is all Greek mythology coming back to life. He might have a point with the people developing AI. I mean, after all, Elon Musk even has this whole chip implantation thing that he’s trying to develop. I haven’t heard too much about that of late: I’d have imagined that they’re running into some serious issues with that. But why? (growl) But why would anybody want to become immortal? Now, this is, this is an ethical and metaphysical rabbit hole, I guess you’d say that I fell down many, many years ago. And as I get older, the desire to be immortal, it’s just No! No, 70 years, 80 years. I’m going to say 90 max. That’s enough. That’s enough, for me. There might be some people that want to live a couple thousand years. That’s their business. But honestly: to what end? To what end would that? Let’s just say that they figure out a way to take the consciousness, which is what I believe we really are. And these are just meat puppets that we drive around for 70, 80, 90 years. What if they find a way to pull the consciousness out of the human brain and install it into, say, an Android that theoretically could live forever? At what point is that consciousness going to go insane? We have dementia patients, that,,, they’re conscious, but they’re not connected. And what would happen if you have an Android that goes through the same disconnection process at some point in time, even though the hardware is viable, the consciousness is not. But let’s take the one step further. Let’s just say it’s not one Android, but 535 Android. And I choose that number for a purpose. And most people read my blog or have any political connection to the world, understand why I chose that number. But let’s say it’s 535. And thousand years down the road, this 535, suddenly 450 of them start suffering dementia. And yet they’re in control. They are completely in control. Human race. Gone. Done. Finished. I’m going to drop that subject right there because that’s a sci-fi story for somebody else to write. That’s not my gig. But we’re talking about power. More than anything we’re talking about power. And one of the things that T.L. talks about is that the whole green energy thing is the suicide pact written in blood. And it is. Over on my sidebar, you’ll find a book. It’s called Outside Looking In. And it’s kind of a misnomer. I wrote the book intending to try and help people walk their way into going off-grid because I do believe that green energy on a small form factor, i.e. a homestead, a house, is completely doable and reliable. I mean, I’ve been living in this my home. Off-grid for almost nine years now. I just replaced my battery pack, my battery bank with lithium-iron batteries. And they are just killing it. I’m loving it. But moving forward, if everybody that owned a home could do something similar to what I’m doing. But the thing about the book I wrote was that it’s going to require some lifestyle changes because we do not have the ability to store. Or we do have the ability to store enough power for a modern day household. But the size of the collection panels that you’re going to need are going to be real estate hogs. So, and that’s why I was discouraging it. You have to make some lifestyle changes. You’re not going to be able to run your 17-foot flat screen TV with your 10,000 watt power stereo system and a gaming system that surrounds down with ground thumpers so that you can feel the tanks rolling through the game. You’re not going to be able to do that. But if we did modify our living standards to something more in line with reality, not all this entertainment distraction, where you’re not pulling 500 kilowatts a month. You’re only pulling 500 watts a day. Not only would we accomplish what the whole green deal, claims it wants to do. But we would become more resilient as a people. It’s a whole lot harder to knock the people down when they’re not living on top of pillars. And what I mean by that is we’re essentially on the roof of one of those big Greek necropolis’, whatever you want to call them. We’re essentially living on the roof and the only thing that’s holding is up are all these pillars. And these pillars are our infrastructure, our grid power that is about 100 years behind times. Cheap energy, readily which you know fossil fuels which are getting harder and harder to find. And that’s why we’re seeing the prices going up and not coming back down like we were told they were going to do. All of this stuff props us up. And all it’s going to take is one madman with a big nuke detonating it at 22 miles above the surface of the planet smack dab in the middle of our country. CONUS and we’re back in the stone ages, indefinitely. But if we were set up more like my setup, where I’m self contained my infrastructure is built by me maintained by me. That guy with the nuke? He might get some of us but he’s not going to get all of us. We live on the shoulders of giants or in my last analogy on the pillars of history. We need to figure out a way that we can climb back down and get our feet on the ground. We’re not grounded anymore. Let’s do it. The people that build their castles and sand. If you lost away by the tide. Well all the craziness we see in this world right now sure looks like the tides are turning and castles and sand. I’m going to stop. I’m going to give you a break and I’ll be right back with something else.

and I’m back,,,, education. Education I believe is something that we can all agree is broken in this country these days. And there could be many reasons why you agree with me on that and there could be many reasons why you disagree with me on that. But I think as a person who is trained to be an educator and management they do go hand in hand. As a person that was trained in it the one thing I see is and this was even back when I was in school. Critical thinking is not encouraged. Compliancy is highly encouraged. They don’t want you to question, they don’t want you to buck the system, they want you to go with the flow, don’t rock the boat. And that lack of critical thinking across the board. Some people do. And usually the D and C students learn critical thinking the quickest because for whatever reason, whether it be they’re contrarians and they just automatically have that innate ability. And they start questioning just because things don’t make sense and start asking questions and critically thinking and learn it the hard way which is probably the best way. But critical thinking is sort of lacking and it’s led to all kinds of things. I look at our look at our country as a whole. 33% of the people are on the dole. 33% of the people work for the government in some shape or form. So we call it work fair, not welfare. And the other third are either employees or entrepreneurs. The sad thing is that the one third that work for the government will tell you that the government knows better. And yet nobody ever looks at it and goes, “wait a minute. How can they know better when they’re not in my shoes? ” There’s no critical thinking involved here. In fact, quite the opposite. There’s mental gymnastics to justify the abuses. Welfare started out to help the black family climb out of poverty, so to speak. And honestly, that was the most racist thing that they could have ever came up with because they are essentially saying “you can’t do it. You’re not strong enough. You’re not smart enough. We have to help you.” And why the blacks didn’t rise up and beat the living snot out of the people at that time. I don’t know. But it’s happening now, isn’t it? 13% of the population is responsible for 55% of the problems in the legal department. That’s a huge disparity and it shows lack of education, lack of critical thinking skills. I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I don’t see it changing rapidly. Even if we had a complete collapse tomorrow, I don’t see any of that coming about quickly. Quite the opposite, actually. Let’s go back to that young lady that was killed in the public transportation system. If I recall correctly looking at the video, there are about six or seven other people within 15 feet of her. And yet not one, not one person on that bus subway, whatever the heck it was. Not one person defended her life or even tried to stop the guy. I mean, he ended up walking out of the damn thing at the next stop. What is,,, what happened to this country? There used to be a time when somebody would get out of line like that. And people in the vicinity would intervene. You’d have one person calling the cops 911, whatever. And three others tackling the guy, pulling him to the ground. Now everybody just pulls out their phone and starts videotaping. What the hell is wrong with us? I’m kind of reminded of the fight club scene where Tyler Durden is talking. And he’s “We’re the middle children of history man. We got no purpose, no place. Working jobs we hate to buy shit we don’t need”. Yeah.
End transcript.
More laters, and I PROMISE, the next one will have a map, and a POINT, not this meaningless meandering I did today.

I had a similar day.
I decided to leave the office , before I started throwing stuff. I’m an Analog man. And this digital, and now AI bullshit has happened.
Much of it is too obvious.
Control is the goal.

That, AI, will be the next podcast subject matter,,,, I’m working on that mind-map right now, will try to have links in the transcript (more work for me, but that’s alright.) well,,, stick around, it will be up as soon as I feel its ready,,, Not like this one where it was ‘Publish this or round file it!”

I can hear a difference, all right. Mostly the clarity. It does sound better.
I too, am a big fan of TLD. He has some amazing posts/articles. And the take on electricity and our dependence on it (from both of y’all) generates a lot of thinks from previously unexplored directions.
Y’all take care,

Equipment has more relevance than people believe. Its like the difference between a bar band playing over a couple cheap speakers or a touring pro PA,,, same band will sound completely different.
TL is far more reaching than myself, yet I notice only a handful of people help spread his messages.
