Just a teaser,,, did a little investin’ and new mic, new processor (outboard AD-DA/DAW),,,, Finally came in tonight,,,

BETTER GEAR,,,

With live monitoring!!! And the little bit I recorded already

WORLDS DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY,,,,

jus’so’s yaknow: live monitoring gives me greater control over MY sound, how far I am from the mike or vocal energy is more readily controlled when I can hear ME as the machine hears me. Less need for hard compression, noise reduction, lowered gain structure, which reduces the noise threshold, etc etc, yada yada,,, tek-i-nickle details that you prolly don’ wanna hear about. What it boils down to is this: a better end product TO YOU. Now, its time for me to REALLY polish my chops,,,,,

So this weeks podcast is going to be a treat to ears,,, its already a treat to MY ears,,,, You’ll hear Dios Radio Voice, the REAL radio voice I recall from years ago.

And this unit can handle two microphones, so Interviews are A GO!!! as soon as I find someone willing to be interrogated and grilled,,, MUahahahaha!!!!!

BONUS to me!! the old mic works with this unit even though ALL of the requests for info on the gears site, told me ‘nope, ain’t gonna work, ya gotta spend MORE money for OUR microphones,,,,” In their defense, ‘their’ microphone does sound better, but only marginally so, the real shift was in the processing power of the outboard unit. (sounds funny coming from a near deaf dood,,, )

And Mama-kat is seriously PERTURBED right now!! There are even MORE cables strewn about “her” desk,,,, Sorry Mama, gonna have to live with this mess; Daddy aint’ gonna give you any slack on this’un.
