Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

twosday rainout

5mm wetsuit bottoms, 3mm wetsuit top, sprayskirt around me middle: almost TOO warm. Outside temps around 70+, water temps around 65 (felt cool when I waded in, but not uncomfortable.). BREEZZZYYYYYYYYY!!! Not windy, but gusting breezes that pushed me around the bay when I was just sittin’ and chillin’.

Went in to the J.O.B., did my Mechanic Thing, one of the many different hats I wear there. Replaced a hub bearing on one of the trucks. Heads up to the kiddies: When you are dealing with wheels/axles/brakes, ALWAYS DO THINGS IN PAIRS. Fact; Son of Bossman had a hub bearing put on two years ago. NOTE; ‘A’ hub-bearing,,, left side. Today I replaced the right side. And that thing was stuck on like it had been welded in place. Broke a chisel trying to get it to move enough that I could get a prybar behind it. Breaking a hardened steel chisel is a feat,,,

BUT, that done, closed up the Workplace (the bosses had already left, I was the last out.) and said, “ya know self?, this’un is a purrfect day to go get our boat and asses wet!!!” (Seems I am more of a foul weather paddler,,,,)

So I did just that. A couple of laps, limbered up my spine and hips, got hot so did a roll to cool off, sat in the middle for a bit, letting the wind push me wherever it felt like, and spent a couple hours just BEING,,, No schedules, no pressures, no nuthin’ I didn’t feel like doin’,

and now my body is sayin’ “Nap-time!”,,, must be all these negative ions in the air,,,,,
