I sorta recall why I quit chasing computer chips around,,, I don’t enjoy the game of ‘keeping up’ when it comes to what the machines can do. And I have never liked that as things move forward, much of what I did enjoy, no longer works.

Like Mechwarrior,,, The ONLY game I was fanatic about. Worked great up through XP and Vista, doesn’t work on any of the upgraded machines now.

Have you tried making a machine run Vista lately? Big reason why I gave up on WIndoze,,,,

So today, I chomped off another $20 extra, as the expense was better than the alternative. I was window shopping internet providers in my area, and one, that 2 year ago was wanting me to pay for the install of their infrastructure to get cable to my place (to the tune of $18000, no shit! and I would have still needed to pay the monthly fees,,, um,,,no!) is now available to me for $50/month. My phone plan had a ‘platinum’ line for that extra $20 that has unlimited 5G hotspot,,,, gonna pay the phone bill anyways, and the combined dedicated Wi-Fi, with the phone would have been $100/month (PLUS) so, $65/month is easier to swallow.

Gotta have it in this day and age if you want to have a life on the webs. Not that I have a ‘Life’ perse, but I do have this blog and now a podcast,,, Keeping up with both is much easier if I can access things through the Mac, not just the phone. That is part of why my last Mac was dying, or so I believe: Sitting here doing nothing because I wasn’t able to access the nets at whim on it Still have it, it still has vid card issues, but It no longer runs OS-anything. It’s now a linux box;Mint 11 I believe. Not that I play much with it, but Linux is a great for getting dying computers a little extra life, IF you don’t want the hype of WIndoze and Apple. Or have need of other machines that need the proprietary access provided in a PC or OS running machine. I much prefer the Apple these days, but wanted to make sure my Linux install disc could retrograde a Mac unit. I had never tried before: Success, sorry Macintosh,,,

Thinking about the next recording session, what to put in. I saw a headline on one of my news feeds that the Fibbies are no longer affiliating with the SPLC anymore. GOOD, ABOUT F’N! TIME!!! Fuckers were always twisting things up to favor leftoid bullshit narratives. I hear they are cutting ties to the ADL as well. Another plus,,,

FACT: they only call you a Nazi because they want an excuse to kill you without guilt. And 99.9% of those that are screaming “NAZI!” or “FASCIST!” can’t even give a definition of the terms. I find it hilarious to be called a nazi by some blue haired, nose-ring sporting SOCIALIST,,,, The irony is beyond the pale.

And this post is sort of a test of the new MacBook. This site used to pull the old Mac’s battery down HARD,,, Spent a lot of juice processing this site, and would whine and complain about it ‘using too many resources’. So far, so good on this machine. not one hiccup or complaint. The vid card is fully functional and does show in the system information; which is far better than the last machine that didn’t. Less load on the main processor.

yeah,,, this shit is costing me, but I probably needed to spend the money to climb out from under the rock I was hiding. And I was hiding,,, I admit it, though I made ungodly amounts of justifications to myself about it.

And I am not even sure why now,,,

The asshats that were the problem have faded into the woodwork many years back. At least one of them is doing prison time, and the other fled the country, or so rumor had it. To be honest, I couldn’t care less at this point because the damage they did, THEN, completely rewrote the patriot movement on the webs, NOW. Most of the names in my old blog site are faded into obscurity, links beyond broken, and only those posts where I personally uploaded pics are still viable. Yes, I left the site up, never merged it. Still a WP site, but no longer one I attend to.

Too many years under the belt to just walk away from this, and it’s very much apart of my being now. And I very much appreciate your being patient with me in my evolution. Feel free to chime in at any time to correct me. Pats on the back are nice, but negative feedback improves the breed: I can take it!!!

no blegging in this post, I’m watching the numbers, feeling out what’s working, what ain’t,, (typed ‘whorking’, not a word or wasn’t, but seemed kinda fitting,,,). Not getting much feedback in comments, but talking to another podcaster, he stated that comments for podcasts is even lower than for written word: lucky to get likes in the 100:1 ratio downloads/comment. So far, he is dead on with that observation. I even went over to YouTube to check stats on some of the vidcasters, and yup,,, 100000 views, 100 likes, 1 comment.

But ya gotta evolve or sink into the tarpits of history. ‘S’al’aight,,, I ain’t gonna give up on the keyboards, will slowly add in more audio, once a week for now, as I get my chops ironed out. 7 hours production for a second cast was considered rocket fueled by that other podcaster,,,. He was impressed, I didn’t bother to tell him this wasn’t my first rodeo, just rusty as F! And that production time will slowly creep down to reasonable as I get those chops lined back up. I’ve already set up intro music and outro takes for two more, labeled and saved/backed up to hard drive, just zero content in-between,,, YET,,, Thats the real rub: getting that voice thing goin’,,, Been tapping my thoughts out so long, they come through my fingers faster than my tongue can deliver. but I’sa workin’ on it!!!

still, please hit that like button as much as you can,,, Seeing a 1100% increase in that, and already seeing better traffic through two of the search engines. Traffic is what will keep this thing alive. (honestly, I think this site has been throttled by Giggles-SE,,, I used to get tons of traffic there, and the last two years, barely a trickle.)

but this tech-stuff,,, I do it, deal with it, don’t like it, and somedays, I just wanna go back to banging the rocks together again. Silicon in that world is sharp, not electrifying, but still got the job of surviving done. I’m no Luddite though,,, as much as the romantic in me longs for the ‘simpler’ times, I know it won’t be in “This World”: not unless they crash it down around our ears.
