The map vs the territory
Life changes: so does the world.
Walking the shoreline here at the camp (commercial campsites with hookups type place) and nothing in my mental map matches. I can see the old shore line where we put in last year, but the river is all of 50′ away and 5′ lower in her bed. Blue porfory(sp?) stone scattered about the shore: not native stone, but ballast from 10 miles up stream where the highway had been washed out. Im not talking shoe sized stone either but big cooler sized rock ot larger. Word has it there are even bigger further downstream: can’t confirm yet but will see with my owm eyes shortly.
Its humbling seeing all of this near a year after the fact: Im certain those that live here were very humbled to see thier world, literally, tempest tossed and washed away.
There are still businesses not reopened here. Who can blame them when your investment is reduced to a mud covered concrete slab,,,
Will have more later pics maybe,,,

Life changes – it do, it do. Humblin’ it surely is. Hatez to see the pix, then again, would like to just ’cause it’s caused such a drastic change. Would help to put a visual on the drastic bad sheeiitz that happened up thataway – we ain’t the only onez – down thisaway – that get caught up like that. I sincerely feel fer anyone that kinda stuff happens to – mostly ’cause I’ve seen it with my own 4 eyes!
Hopez ya get sum relaxin’, Bro!
Y’all take care,
Mike in FLA.
