Home and weathers (with an update)
Left Brudda-B’s early this AM; snow was starting up and I didn’t want to make the 80 mile trek buried in snow. Wasn’t bad, had a couple rough patches where the local maintenance crews were late to the game, but not bad. DID NOT take the secondary roads unless no choice: like once I was nearer home. THOSE were ice covered Sphincter-o-meter clenching shitfests.
Then it started raining,,, Ice build up on Lyssa was a 1/4″ thick and building at dusk. I shoulda taken her off the rack and put her in dry-dock for the time being,,,, May do that in AM if Son0fBossman texts us to stay home for the duration. Not liking that possible, but I am pragmatic about it: I do understand. Not like I want to be out in this crap, but hey, income thing ya know,,, Gettin’ past the point where I seriously need to consider another option, one with benefits and PTO,,, Not getting any younger and the J.O.B. is really more a young mans job. (and that shift may become a reality, but holding my peace on ‘how’ for now.)
Fire in stove, propane heater online as backup overnite so I can be lazy and stay my ass in bed when the fire drops off. Temps are supposed to stay steady overnight and drop into the basement during the day tomorrow. Thats when things get “real interestin’ ” for the unprepared and clueless. I did note while getting kow for Mama, that the stores had been ransacked, usual “OMG, WE ARE GONNA DIE” reaction to the hype of bad storm reporting. Funny how the prepped carry on as if ‘just another day’.

Anywhoos,,, its just another day in paradise: I feel for the Floriduhnians this week. Sweaters ain’t gonna cut it for ya guys,,, Time to bust out the Tier3 cold weather gear from your Korean winter training days. Or just lock the door and stay the F! inside for a few days.
Maybe Elon can launch a shit ton of Rockets and cook the atmo for ya,,,, LOL.

Not really gonna touch on things out in the spheres,,, Except to mention that whole Vegas truckbomb thing seems to have taken on a life of its own. Not even going to speculate on this, just observe how things play out. If this is nefarious stuff from the BLOB, it will expose more of itself. If this is just Tinfoilhattery; it will fizzle on its own,,,, Still, something ‘stinks’ and some of the claims are plausible. GO, Read, and you decide,,,, and watch this,,,,
Oh,,, ONE OTHER THING that got my goat Saturday night, that does need mentioned. Xi-Den, in an act that shows just how UN-AmeriCAN he truly is, Awarded SOROS the Presidential Medal of Freedom, along with Killary and a more than a few others of exceptional hate of the American People. I have no idea if such can be ‘recalled’, but it seems to me that this should be EXPLICITLY RESERVED to those residing on these shores, Citizens if you will, or those that aren’t but show extreme levels and actions towards “American=ism” ideals. SOROS AIN’T THAT!!! The ill taste in my mouth when I consider that slimebag can not be described.

Still gotz a shitton of cold weather gear from oncet upon a time when I were still a werkin man, too – from all over the country (some still almost fit, too – lotsa shrinkage in these 14 years fer some reason🙄). Don’t even break em out until below 55! So there!!🤪

Its a mindset thing,,,, I’ve been moving firewood to the house so I don’t have to when it gets real nasty, and been doing it in a t-shirt and jeans. Its right at the freezing temps out there and ice forms on anything that doesn’t have a body temperature. Fire wood warms ya up many times,,,
I still have some cold weather stuff from my time in the Corps, my favorite is an old M64 Feild jacket I found at a Mil-Surp place: Tigerstripe pattern,,, Definite ‘Nam era and still fully functional with the original liner. Just needs a ‘tech-wash and rain repellant’ treatment again.

Dam – it’s funny that yer fav is a field jacket. Mine is, too – it gets 90% more wear than everything else. I picked it up at a surplus store in Birmingham when Junior and I were working on a coal fired powerhouse in the mid 90’s. Woodland pattern. Had (and still do) a shitload of heavy stuff for work, but decided I needed something I could wear going out to supper, grocery store, etc. Didn’t wanna wear dirty ass work duds. That wuz my solution!

Quilted type lining in a Pendleton long sleeve type shirt for my cold weather gear, down to forty degrees anyway. That and Levi 501’s for the bottom half. LOL both the shirt and pants are thirty yrs old ! Worn perhaps two weeks each winter.
Looks fishy to me too. Considering that the orange blob was still pres when the so called war crime was committed. Co-inky-dinkily in front of you know who’s hotel and driving you know who’s truck…China , COVID, sanctions, trade wars, Chinese scientist who after discovering gravitetic breakthrough disappears. Elon close relations with everything… Yup could be something rotten here.

Late to the party, just had to spout off about Oingo Boingo… AWESOME band, severely underrated. I must admit that their ‘hits’ are the tunes I like the least but man oh man have they got some bangers!! I have had “Who Do You Want to Be” on my workout playlists for the last couple years and it never gets old! “Only A Lad” is another great one… I’ve seen them only once – I wanna say the Summer of ’83, but don’t hold me to it – and they were SPECTACULAR!

I was really late to the party for Oingo Boingo,,, Didn’t get introduced to them until ’90 and they were purt much wrapped up at that point (Other than the music that got tied to movies and such, no contact.) THEN, I found a ‘Boingo Alive’ tape in the glove box of a Fiat I had just bought,,,, OFF THE HOOK!!!! Never looked back. ‘Capitolism’ and ‘Cinderella undercover’ are my faves, but not to exclusion. the whole damned album, live produced was most excellent, and since then, I can’t listen to any of the studio stuff.

Rewatched that vid: Monitor guy needed a beating… See how many times Danny stuffed his finger in his ear to be able to match pitch? that sorta shit would have had me walkin’ home from a gig.
