Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

Being a beach bum,,,

Maybe its the KOLD, Freeze  your digits off, snow bound, lack of work, despondent side of me right now,,, Not that I am snow-bound, but with zero inflow of FRN’s ( I did get my Zon Royalties this week,,, but that won’t even buy a burger at a cheap place) I choose to not burn fuel to go anywhere that would require me to part ways with cash.

Sigh,,,, it’s quite white out right now.   Took the morn to blow off the solar panels, the porch, stacked kayaks, and the woodpile, (the packrats LOVED that!, NOT!!!)  Feed the kittehs and Voo, and take the Voo out to leave the neighbors some shit.   And a-now,,, Kalifornia dreamin’,,,,   Well, not exactly Kalifornia,,, anywhere with saltwater, beachsand and WARM SUNLIGHT would do me just fine.    Wander the beach for sand-dollars to sell to the tourista, do some surf-casting for dinner, wear the callouses down on my happy barefeet walkin’ in the sand (they hatez the need for shoes,,,),,,   Kayak out to my crab-traps in the afternoon,   (Dio swoons with the thought of fresh crab and Red Snapper for dinner,,,,)

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Being this far south, it’s not bad,,, its a tad early IMO, but that could mean we are in for a rough season or Ol’man winter is gonna chill out and idle through to March,,, it goes either way and no one can say for certian.   But my Littlest Sis is up NOrt, getting hammered by lake effect.   I’m sure she is missing the beaches of Floriduh right now,,,,   I know Sis in the Carolinas was grumpin’ about ‘I moved south to get away from this shit’,,,,   Yeah,,, so did I,,,   Guess further south is a callin’.

Say, around the Tropic of Cancer line,,,,,    Belize is supposed to be nice,,,,  I could get close by living at the southern-most tip of Texas,,,   (not a good choice IMO,,,)

Guess I gotta hit the lottery for that ‘un,,,,   Sure ain’t gonna make a move like that on what I am pulling in current.

The wind whispers over the sand as the small waves of the ocean carress them smooth,,, cooler winds from other shores across the ocean,,,,  The trade winds that brought our ancestors to these shores,,

SHUSH DIO!!!

The woodburner is crankin’ out the heat, and if I put a fan near it, I could close my eyes and feel like I were on the beach,,  WITH LOTS OF IMAGINATION,,,

I DO NOT LIKE WINTER-TIME,,,,   My eyes are sore from all the reading,,, BUT, I have made a serious dent in that pile, (and its too early, may need to find more,,,)

and I need a new cushion in my office chair,,,, starting to feel the frame inside in places.

LOL

Hear me whinin’????

I get by, might be tight (isn’t it usually?) but I get by.    May not be the happy-happy thoughts in my head, but it ain’t the Gulags of Soviet Russia either,,,  (If you want to know what cold is, read that book: Alexander perfectly conveyed what a Siberian winter feels like. )

1st – in regard to yer last poast – mighty glad ya didn’t stay swimin with the fishies on a permanent basis!

Unnerstand all whereof you type. Specially the beach dreamin (ain’t lost a dam thing in Kommiefornia, either!), that part would, indeed, be a thing of MUCH beauty and pleasure!! Dig a small pit in the sand and use somma those nice big leaves to wrap the fishies in to do a sand covered bake, and HOT DAM! – whatta feast🍻🥂

Granted – we ain’t down as low as y’all are – but we’re in the 30’s right now. A bit unusual, but does happen. Ain’t liking it, either😡 Been up in that sheeiit like littlest sis is, too. It purely does suck.

As for the rest – 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 With ya all the way! Ain’t nuthin wrong with whinin, either – unless it becomes a permanent thing. Then it kinda loses it’s meaning. Mikee knows how it’s done, too😉

Say – wouldja mind if’n I pick yer brain a bit regarding yer solar setup? If’n it’s OK, I’ll send ya an email with more specifics.

    4 L’s!

    Y’all take care,
    Mike in FLA.

Hey Mike, so far its only gotten down to the mid forties here on the Space coast. Which is 30° too low for my tastes ! At least it’s supposed to be in the high seventies by this weekend.

Yup, ever body wanna come to flawduh. Get asked all the time how I afforded it. I say, well …I just did it. Had to live on a boat the first decade in order to afford it tho.

thousands of folks can’t afford even a low cost way as I did. Yet they still come,,,in Florida Central and south you can live out in the woods in just a tent. Probably millions do lol…

its getting harder to find beach side woods any more tho

I unnerstand about the $$, Spud. I’m fortunate, in that I’m a real live native – both to FLA., and my town. 2nd gen, actually.

Also unnerstand about the temp! Hell, I start digging for my long handles before it hits 59 deg! 🙄 The weather liars say we hit 38 earlier. My thermometer said 36 when I took the pooch out @ about 5:30.

Spent quite a few nights in the woods in a tent, too. Mostly when I was hunting.

Side woods along the beach – whut the hell is that of which you speak? Yaknow, I do seem to remember when they were plentiful – barely!

i used to hire a homeless guy for a laborer on the job site. He lived in this little bunch of woods right next to a beach access parking lot.

i swear, around here, if it has undeveloped land or just brush between houses and businesses. There are homeless in them.
