So obvious that it should shame,,,,

Talking about the destruction in the area I was supposed to travel through this past weekend. 

And the travesty that exemplifies our current leaders pretend.   And oh, aren’t they JUST that, PRETEND,, Pretentiuous, and useless to the people: the “81 million” that supposedly voted them in>snark<

I can tell you, when ‘the leader of the free world’ says “we’ve sent everything we have, there’s nothing left” AFTER signing a spending bill that sends BILLIONS to some armpit country getting its ass kicked by Ivan, further pushing this world closer to Nuclear Annihilation,,,   

You think the people of the affected areas aren’t taking note?

You think the people with family in those areas aren’t taking note?

DID THEY EVEN THINK?

Sorry, the answer is just as obvious as the shame they should be feeling,,,, except they don’t understand that ‘Representative’ status that our government used to hold to: nopes, they are our LEADERS, not employees of the PEOPLE,,,  

And even with that definition in mind, where the HELL are they “LEADING” us???   questions answer themselves sometimes,,,,,

Ok, gotta do the J.O.B. as I can’t get mine arse to Hartford to help in clean up.   Its not a money issue or anything, its a health one.   I am allergic to molds, and the mold content after flooding like that ALWAYS sends my upper respratory tract into shutdown mode.   I’d be hospitalized in 24 hours if I went there: a casualty, not an asset.   I’ll send stuff as I can; thats the only way I can help those people right now.

    Mornin’ Bro Dio. Just wondering if you have a preferred method for giving donations?? Something I wuz wondering about last night, meself. Just don’t trust the big 2 anymore – ‘specially the Red C.

    And yer abso-fargin-lutely correct about the shame. Then again, IMHO, I truly believe that the idea is not to support ’em at all, because (((they))) despise anyone that can think and do for themselves. So, those folk are being punished. It usually means that those kinda folk don’t want or need the gov’t for assistance. They’ll definitely remember! Thankfully, my folk in N.C. are OK.

    There were several listed over at WRSA today. In my case, I am sending stuff down with fellow paddlers going there to help dig out, rebuild. It may only be a box of clothing or some cash, but every little bit adds up. There are more ‘river rats’ than you would imagine, all headed that way; even sending crews if they own a company. (one Construction company out of Knoxville sent his entire line up down there, with trucks and materials,,,)
    I’d say its sad that locals were on site before even NGO’s like RedCross were, but we are talking about the Appalachians,,, Scots Irish with deeply ingrained skepticism of anything ‘government’. Willing to take the dole, but don’t ever think that means you ‘own’ them,,,,

    This whole debacle breaks my heart AND makes my blood boil!

    My kin originally hail from Tennessee, and although none are still there (as far as I know, it’s been a few generations) I feel a deep love for that part of the country within my soul. What our “leadership” has done, or NOT DONE, as the case may be, sickens mento my core.

      Its worse than you can imagine. What I imagine you are seeing are the massaged messages,,, things I am hearing this close,,, MUCH worse. Whole neighborhoods just wiped off the map, replaced by new channels of river/creek. And the dead are starting to be found, and not just the new ones, but old ones that were washed out of thier resting places.

      And I am over a 100 miles away, so I know what I am hearing is second/third hand and probably embellished in some ways, lessened in others. Still gives me the creeping horrors to think that current Shaministration is so cock sured of a win(CHEAT), they don’t give a damn

    I’m sure it’s unfathomable. I’ve seen some vids on ‘the socials’ and it is gut wrenching. Of course almost NOTHING is being shown on MSM – those GD cowards! “We can’t show what’s going on with only a month til the election!” We’re gonna need a lot of rope here shortly. A pox on them ALL!!
