Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

LOLZ!! I was a massive fan of R.E.M. once upon a time, but I HATED that song with a passion! Now instead of a groan and a flip of the radio dial if it comes on, I’ll have a nice chuckle! Thanks for that one Dio!

    • Yup,,, I am much the older version of REM as well, Gardening at night, Can’t get there from here, etc,,, the later edition went too pop, or at least that was my impression.

They hooked me with the first 4 notes of ‘Radio Free Europe’ my Freshman year of HS, and I swooped up every album for the next 4 or 5, but when they started with the mandolins and the sad-bastard songs (looking at you ‘Everybody Hurts’!) I started losing interest. I didn’t help matters when Stipe (who I admired in the beginning) started getting all mouthy about political crap… Every time an artist does that – and there have been far too many! – I’m reminded of ol’ Uncle Frank’s “Shut Up and Play yer Guitar”… But man, in the early 80’s R.E.M. was awesome!
