Listening
“By listening, one will learn truths: by ‘hearing’ one will only learn half truths.”
Corollary: By speaking, one only reinforces ones half truths. (you must listen as well)
Doing MUCH MUCH listening of late
don’t like what I am hearing.
Not mine to like you might say; ‘is what it is,,,’ (Gah!!! How I hate that saying!)
Camping weekend ahead,,, short one as I am not leaving until the J.O.B. is wrapped up tomorrow, whenever that may be.

in serious consideration of leaving the phone in the Buffalo on the charger: don’t/won’t need it and DO NOT want the weekend spoiled by things. I very much need the distraction of friends
and WATER TIME.
Already had one good weekend shot to hell with a single phone call,,,, Don’t wanna let it become a trend. If’n some one needs me, they can wait until I ‘log back in’ to the matrix,,, Short of the world blowin’ up (which I think even disconnected, would know about) nothing will happen that can’t wait until such time as I am back in grid.
Y’all take care, keep on livin’, give a good laugh at the decline and keep pissin’em off by refusing to give up.

Most definitely a BIG difference between actually listening, and just hearing. Also, that corollary about just flapping the gums versus speaking AND listening is right on. Bad part about listening is hearing something you’d rather not.
OTOH, there’s a dam sight worse things than a weekend camping with buds, and getting yer ass wet – ‘specially without the phone screwing things up!
I tend to think that if the world blowed up, it’d probably be purty obvious!
That last paragraph is 1 million % on the $$. Words to live by, ya might say – ‘specially the “pissin ’em off” part! Enjoy the weekend, Bro!!
