Much Bueno

Had a bit of a fight getting the main pinion bearing off, but get her off, I did.   dropped out 3 shims for total of .025″ but the proof is right here in my face.   Really nice contact patch on the drive side of the gear and a small football dead center of the coast side.

Axle bearings, seals and Axles are now installed and that was probably the EASIEST I time I have ever had putting those bloody C-clips back in.   Even with all the springs and gee-gaws in that carrier, full access to the inner shafts.

Tomorrow I seal the thing up and get her ready to go into Buffalo this weekend.    No rush, no rush no rush.   Still have to do the suggested (and highly recommended) break in.  MIld driving for 20 mile round trip, then let cool FULLY, repeat once more.   Supposed to wear that phosphate coating off the ring gear and there is a lot of friction/heat involved in that.  Supposedly enough to cook the heat treatment.  Dunno, but I’ll play that game because I have seen similar in other gear. (and to be frank, the break in almost sounds like a heat treatment process,,,  Heat and slow cool while bathed in oil,,, Sure sounds familiar from Blacksmithing classes.)

In other news,,, Hunter the crackhead was found guilty on all three counts in his trial.   Yeah,,, good deal, but does ANYONE think that he will serve even one day, or that it goes straight to parole process?   OR, that his Daddy does a presidential pardon on him on the way out?   The only good news in that whole mess was that LAPTOP shenanigan was finally released as NOT CONSPIRACY THEORY, and Lord only knows what directions THAT is going to go in,,,,

All I have to say is there are a lot of people in high places that need to be held accountable, because they completely LIED about that damned laptop, repeatedly, and even during Congressional Hearings,,,,   

Will even ONE be held accountable?

yeah,,,   IF they do, color me surprised and shocked,,,

And I don’t wanna go down any other rabbit holes along those lines at this time,,, Feeling damned good with my progress in the driveway and don’t wanna blow a good vibe over liars and PROFESSIONAL Thieves and CON-artists.   Actually, what I really want?   A SHOWER,  NOW!
