Unexpected, but not shut down, YET!
I was seriously hoping to share some excellent news witch’y’all,,,,
I ordered my parts for Buffalo in the wee hours of Muhnday morn, and they shipped out that day,
and kinda sorta arrived today,,,

yeah,,, a ring, and a pinion,,,,
most certainly NOT $1300 worth of parts there, unless those two peices are made of Adamantium,,,
I started the dispute process, and the site says they will contact me in one business day,,,
THIS image is what I should have received,,,, quite a few missing parts there in the box that DID show up. I’m hoping that there were two boxes and the FedEx guy screwed up, BUT, I didnt’ see ‘parcel one of two’ or anything like that on the box,,, and the box was completely undamaged in anyway.

But I knew as soon as I picked it up that things weren’t right.
Just a touch dissappointed right now,,, Not mad, just ‘meh!’,,, Was sorta hoping to get a serious start on that rebuild tonight and now hanging in space/time twiddlin’ me thumbs. Don’t want to mess with the box or parts incase I have to return them, and besides the fact: I really need the rest of those parts to even get started.
sigh,,,, maybe this is universe telling me something,,,,
Keep on livin’

Ah, the frustration of missing parts!! FWIW, in the recent past – say the last 12-18 months I have seen a massive increase in things being said they’ve arrived but they haven’t. Nine times outta ten they arrive the next day, a couple times a neighbor brought them to me from their porch…
Much like the power grid has nowhere near the capacity needed for everything to go electric (that /they/ are desperately trying to ram down our throats) I don’t believe the “delivery infrastructure” has near the capacity to meet the demands of online shopping. And I don’t know about the delivery folks out in your neck of the woods, but the jokers out here?!? I’m frankly SHOCKED that most of them could even obtain a driver’s license, much less get a job where reading addresses is necessary. Some if the dumbest people on two feet I’ve ever seen!
Good luck on the repair and a big thumbs up on going for the locker!! I think you will be glad you did… it’s part of the “buy once, cry once” automotive strategy!

as you said in other places,,, With the cost of “new”, investing in the poor beasty on hand seems more prudent (and she doesn’t have a kill switch!)
Now it the daggum thing will get here,,,,LOL
