so now I get to carry on with my thoughts prior.  Maybe even sound coherent and not ranting,,,  Yah, I know I was getting irate,,,  May be there was a bit of coffee involved,,,  (thats my story, and I’m stickin’ to it)

Seriously though, if you really want an insight into just how fucked up this government is, you need only look at the debackles of the Littoral ships and the F-35’s   BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars for high-tech paperweights.   And they aren’t even good at that function.    Seriously, the MIC started down the hill to ‘useless and deadly (to the troops)’ back in the  60’s and the only DECENT thing they came up with was the Mouse gun.    As a former carrier of fun-stuff, the LAW was far more reliable than the AT4, The Mark19 should never have been taken off it’s vehicle mounts and the Blooper is still the queen of the dance between hand grenade and mortar tube.   (please recall, I was Marine back in the late 80’s early 90’s,,,,Uncle Sams Misguided Children, and the red-headed stepchild that always got hind teat.  We were still using PRC-68’s for comms,,,  Left overs from ‘Nam!!!!   The Hummer was the most up to date peice of gear we were issued,,, and usually those came from the Army’s DRMO to us,,, wore out and looking like it.)

As for the ships,,, never spent a day on anything that wasn’t a troop carrier, but THAT ship was the schizznizzle to us Jarheads: the USS TARAWA, big LHA-!.   I spent about a year on that ship in total, including the float to Kuwait and back.   She was ‘home sweet home’ for the 2ndBn/1st MARDIV.  She wasn’t fast, she wasn’t armed to the teeth, but she did the job and carried a FUCKTon of Marines and gear to the beachheads.   An entire Battery of Howitzers and support gear, 10 Abrahms and support, as well as a fleet of copters and squadron of Harriers.    plus all the ammo/fuel/food needed to get the party started and first line of defense as a hospital ship IF NEEDED. (she has since been decommissioned and I believe they have already started the process to strip then scuttle her   😦    )

All while they blow mad money on a ship that can’t leave sight of shore because it might run out of gas or blow one of its engines or worse; the way to connect those engines to the drive,,,,  Ships ‘designed’ to replace 50% of the fleet that can’t even make a decade of service before they are JUNK.     The TARAWA was over 50 when I was on her, and still kickin’ butt and moving us grunts and gunners about.

All of that.   The incompetence, the corruption, the CONFUSION that the MIC has done to the Military,,, that is just a reflection of what is going on in the bigger picutre of our Government.   Its a blurry reflection of whats going on with our election system.  

Engineers have a saying about complicated systems.  SIMPLER IS BETTER.    Keep the redundant stuff to minimal and you get a more stable system.  Our systems are so complicated and buried under legilstion and regulation,,,,,   Tax lawyers have to specialize in ONE aspect of the tax law to be effective; to cover all aspects takes an army of lawyers,,,,   Just ask Trumped how many lawyers he has on staff to keep him legal,,, (and they still can’t keep the buzzards at bay.)

and our election system,,, those machines aren’t there to make it ‘right’; they are their to make it easier to steal.   They were able to tabulate the voats in one night for generations, but ‘somehow’ those machines are always making it harder and harder to get the counts right (which is my sarcastic way of saying that they are fucking with them.)

break it, burn it down, whatever, but we need to ‘restart’ the system AFTER we have stripped all the Goldberg device workarounds installed over time.  

the hardest part will be teaching those that LOVE this system why they are so wrong,,,   and You can’t really teach self reliance in those that have no concept of self,,,,
