finished watching it
Not gonna comment tonight, has some thoughts, but let ’em gel up.
2 hours, lots of talk, some I knew, some I know OF, some was news,
Having had 5 friends of Russian nature, two actually from Russia herself, as well as a couple of Czech friends back in the 90’s after the Bosnian debacles (college age kids expatriated to US by NGO’s) ,,,,
lets just say that the start of the interview made complete sense to me even though Tucker seemed to take some beef with it at first.
All Asian societies have that ‘briefing’ style, and its not being rude, its to STOP rudeness before it begins. “this is our history,,, please respect this,,,” (note, its also a bit enlightening to those Americans with Public indoctrination, where Russian history might have started with 1917, maybe,,, I know my education didn’t take it back as far as he does, so I did learn something as well.)
Granted this is aneathema to Western Journalist, who really want to cut to the bone and ‘get the story’. That doesn’t work in cultures that are thousands of years old,,, Unlike our ‘upstart society’ of less than 300,,,, I can well imagine that (and you can see it by the first statement from Putin “are we going to have a serious discussion”) in the leaders of those cultures minds, we are spoiled teenagers by how we approach things political. (and I can’t say I disagree.)
My thoughts to what was said will wait until such time as I have digested them, Like I said, some if I knew, some if it I knew OF, and some it was brand new.
more laters.
