Sketchy Comms,,,,

Apparently, these brush fires we have been having (thats what they are, leaves falling, dry as shit, WARM weather and cool nights so people build fires,,,, Leaves and dry undergrowth burn like mad.) are taking out some cell towers. Probably not destroying the tower itself (though i can see them needing to replace some due to warped steel) but there is DEFINITELY breaks in cellular communications out in my neck. I usualy have pretty decent service at the shop (which is to say “it doesn’t suck like at home”) and today, I had connection for maybe an hour,,, the rest was roaming, looking for signal, and EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY displayed across my banner bar.

SO,,, if’n you are trying to get ahold of me, and I haven’t responded, I am not ignoring you; I haven’t rcvd the message yet,,,,, Hang in there, I’ll get it and get back to you asap.

FAIR WARNING: the last time this happened, I was getting texts from WEEKS past,,, not just a few hours or a day,,, WEEKS!

Email is likely best since that is one I check daily when I check in on Da (stealing his wi-fi)

It also means, ‘if the world is blowing up, we won’t know until sometime after Thanksgiving’

and I can’t say that is a bad thing,,,,LOL

Exxagerated a touch there,,, we’d know, but we might not have ways to check in.

Right now, I have a connection, but that may fade fast. So I am posting this, checking emails, blogs and feeds until it shuts off or I catch up. And I bet it shuts off first.
