Is it wrong to want a boat just because you like the cockpit?

here’s the deal. I have that cockpit from the Necky Chatham on my Ergometer. Scrapped boat, kept out of landfill by a repurpose. and I spent half an hour ‘paddling’ tonight.

And I love how that cockpit fits me,,,,

The Chatham was Necky’s competition to Wilderness Solutions Tempest series

and the boats are very nearly identical in hull shape. Only real difference is rocker. The Chatham has more pronounced rocker so plays better in the soup, where the Tempest prefers to broach.

Love me Tempest (Lyssa), I do. Faster than the Chatham, and I prefer speed vs play

but that cockpit!!!!
