Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

well, that went well

Monster gate built, laying in parking lot awaiting shipment and final assembly. Have some small parts to make for it that will be added on AFTER its assembled and stood up. Son of Bossman and I were discussing some of the logistics of that day, from how to get it there to ‘just how the F! are we supposed to lift this thing in place. The gate I built recently that was the same length; where we installed it ahd Towmotors flying amok and I enlilsted on for the “Raise and Move” and it took every ounce of that fork AND 5 peeps on the ground to manuever that beast in place.

That gate was only 7 feet tall.

this’un, 11 feet between rails. Monster,,,,, near a ton once final assembly and wire and the rest is in place. BIG, CUMBERSOME, AND AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. Espectially with some of our less intelligent but exuberant workers, willing to dive in an help when they really should stay the F out of the way.

Made a panel too. that was actually fun since it was “here, lets go see what they are asking for and you take pictures and come up with something’. Times like this is where I ‘get a break’ from the routine and stretch my creativity. Gotta get a pic of this thing, it was fun to make.(look for a pic tomorrow,,, too busy to wrap up the day today and hadn’t thought about it.)

More thoughts on the world, but to be honest, same old same old, and I just wanna go kayaking,,, Open water or river; couldn’t give a shit less, but I want water time ASAP. More than likely going to be open water since the rivers/creeks are all flippin goat paths around here. Poor Rio is just gonna have to wait until Monsoon season or something. Even an hour on open water is refreshing to the soul. I plan on a bit more than just ‘an hour’ this weekend. I already have a lunch packed up and in the day hatch of Lyssa (to which I add drinks, day of) And I may add some minor camp gear as it looks like the weather may turn towards nasty mid-day. Don’t have a single problem sitting shoreside under a tarp waiting for the Thunderboomers to roll off. (part of the soul cleansing if you will)

That brings to mind something that has been niggling at my backbrain for a spelll. ALL of the lakes are lower than usual winter pools of years past. ALL OF THEM. Call me paranoid, but I think Army Corps of Engineers ‘Knows‘ something. Fact; February through April is Monsoon season in this part of the country. Between melts (if we get snow, usually not) and lots and lots of rain and sodden ground, rivers flash often and frequently during Feb/Mar. Its that time that I usually take a week off as the shop is under water. Hard to get a 220v welder to operate in those conditions if you know what I mean.

But these lower water levels have me wondering. Do they know that we are going into major dousings, or is it that we just haven’t seen enough to maintain normal levels. And it wasn’t that many years ago, that the Cumberland valley was DOUSED, and Cumberland Falls ‘weren’t there’ because the lake level was so high. Maybe they know we are in for another of those seasons,,, Dunno, but,,,,,

Who knows, Maybe my kayaks will be my transportation for a spell becasue the river levels are stoopid high. (long boats only,,, They carry stuff,,,,)

Just a thought,,,,, Do you ever feel like we are rushing headlong into something that can’t be described, that is larger than manmade bullshit but with that tossed in as spice for the other stuff going on? Maybe my Doomer side is feeling left out and has time to get imaginative,,,,

More tomorrow, Tired, achy and just wanna shower and bed. (maybe a nightcap,,,,)
