Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

Sunday that is,,,,

Boat found a name, yet to be christened, but has name now.

Skirt not only fits boat, but me as well: this was in question when I first saw the skirt, but I guess I have shed enough of the spare tire, it fit.   Leaving it on the boat for a week so it adapts, but this is a plus.  (have another skirt that works, but backups are always nice.)

Heat in Buffalo: Hoo-flippin-RAH,,,,   Back flushing the heater core worked.  No need to be pulling the dash now, a chore I was dreading more than you know. (well, those that have been there, KNOW)

and I worked details out so that I can do a river float in Rio without needing to deal with shuttles or other issues of transport.   Going to have Unk go with me to the take out, leave his truck there, go with me to the put-in, I take off, and he drives MY truck back to the take out and takes his truck from there.    That way I have a way home without needing to wait on a ride or needing a partner for the run.  Yeah, its not as ‘safe’ as having that paddle partner, but this river isn’t that high of risk either.   pretty shallow actually and I risk head injury more than drowning.  (or sinking, like I did Duh!kee back three (four?) years ago.)

It’s zero dark out there,,, days are getting much shorter, the leaves are starting to change and soon trees will be barren again. Wood shed is full up, bottles of gas full, and hibernation wants to set in, but I am NOT DONE YET DAMMIT!!! I am a summer oriented animal, what can I say,,,

But thats why I try to have winter projects lined up. Not much lined up for this year, other than get Lizzy back together so she can go up for sale, and get her to SC for that. (better market) Still have work that needs done on Buffalo yet (swap or head work,, either will do and equally intense either way.) but I have no kayak builds lined up. That may change.

Its muhnday, back to the J.O.B; more monster gates to build but I have a better understanding of the physics I am up against with them. Take a few extra steps to deal with metal warping,,, Bossman ain’t gonna like that it takes longer but that’s his problem. He’s the one that keeps selling these beasts despite Son of’s protests. And this pair: ge-gawd… 11′ tall, one has a 39′ span to cover and is a cantilever type. so will be 60′ long: lots and lots of steel. AND it really needs to be built on site, not built at shop and hauled to location. Not my call, not my logistics issues,,, My problems are to make it in two pieces so it can be hauled and not destroyed in the process.

but that’s my job, its what I do to earn my breadnbuttah,,, and now its time to head that way. more laters
