She floats, gotta werk up a name

First try, tight!!!fit. Rilly tight!!!  Don’t like taking off original peices,   but that knee hook was TOO much.  Getting in; a squeeze, getting out; wrenching on knee caps!!! Owiees!  Took it out and moved seatpan back 1/2″: Ouila!!! She woke up and I’m not trapped inside a ‘cork of deth’ LOL.

Not a lot of wave action here today, but a couple riffles wandered in, hit me abeam, and I DIDN’T FEEL GOOSEY.  

And if this boat EVER saw anything but swimming pools, it was in passing while in transport.   Immaculate hull, untouched screwheads, original EVERYTHING.  34 years YOUNG boat here.  

Now, I need to get on moving water, preferably with others,  and see what she can handle (read this as ‘what I can handle’) and HOW she handles it.   The ARC was a half slice, and we didn’t rilly get along,  not after putting me into the drink that first trip out (within 10 minutes at that!!!)  Granted, that ended up being wrong seat position and inexperiance with STRONG current,  but the impression never went away.

I still like my slalom boats.  IamwutIam and krazzee it may be,,,, 🤪

UPDATE: Purchase included a spray skirt, and paddle. Original condition, era reflecting gear. The skirt was old stock, never used and still smelled like neoprene. I soaked it and fitted it to the boat to make sure they would work; now leaving it on for a few days to make it ‘stretch’ so it ALWAYS fits.

Paddle,,, that’un kinda has me up in the air. Its a good paddle, great maker of them, but its feathered 90 degrees,,,, I hate feathered paddles and this one is a fixed loom so no way to adjust it out. Thinking very seriously of asking a buddy that works aluminum if he can cut it and TIG it straight shaft. If so, $200 bucks bought a boat, skirt and paddle that all work for me. If not, the boat and skirt are well worth that amount (if not more)
