Just a quick beef

Call me old fashioned I guess, BUT

I do not like the fact that almost ALL new equipment (printers and the like) need to be ONLINE (internet type) to be able to function. I do a shit ton of work offline and not being able to print or cut material offline, or even being able to edit things offline is a MAJOR PITA.

Aye. I’d like to OWN the gear and have it work as I see fit, when I see fit. Not at the whims of connectivity, server uptime, vendor vagaries…
