and my thoughts went a little haywire for a few minutes. Note: this is a fiberglass version of BlueJean,,, (minus the skeg I added to BJ.) price; VERY reasonable, considering condition and age. location: near my sisters place so reaching out to buy wouldn’t be a hardship (like a run to Alabama,,, LOL) and its a boat I know VERY WELL.

BUT,

Like I said to B, “I need another Sealution like I need a hole in my head.” BJ has her place in my quiver as my river runner/class3 white water runner. And I don’t need another 16’6″ boat in fiberglass: I have Lyssa for that size. If I go for another boat, it will be either longer (17’+) or shorter, as in slalom boat/greenboat.

and that time is NOT now. I have way more that needs done to Buffalo that acquiring another kayak would nix. Has ta keep my wheels rollin’,,,,

especially since those wheels are what get the kayaks to the places where I can get them wet,,,,,

I am still sold on glass over roto or blown boats. Thats not to say they aren’t ‘as good’,,,, there are pro’s and con’s to each material: I’m just a little biased these days. Hell, I have to admit it: I need all the advantages I can get and glass boats give me the ones I need most: speed, weight, internal volume, ease of repair (though, since I learned plastic welding, thats become moot.)

Dammit, Now I wanna go paddling even more and I still have a few days till the weekend!!! AND, I need to be digging into Buff soonest,,,, I’ll find a balance that works, but I may have a truck down for the upcoming week and need to borrow Da’s fourwheeler to get to work,,,, Better now then when the witch winds of November start to blow,,,,(oh, and Bossman has decided that our workdays are going to start an hour earlier and end an hour and half later for some duration (playing catchup on work apparently) so my evening work is going to be getting squeezed a touch,,, posting may suffer.) six of one, half dozen the other, right?
