Sorry green weenies, the lie is on you,, Mama-nature has had this thing figured out for a whole lot longer than this species has had a chance to fuck it up.

And there are some wild ideas out there that Fossil fuels are actually mamanatures way of handling excess carbon, albeit long term (and we have been able to repeat it faster, but not on the scale she does.) and that those fossil fuels are RENEWABLE sources.

Look at the above vid, Methane? thats a fossil fuel. Its also what happens when shit ‘ferments’ or blows out a cows backside (and yours) Time heat and pressure can turn methane into octanes. Don’t believe me: go ask some freshman chem student about long chain hydrocarbon linking.

I’ve been over this a time or two here, it’s called weather; don’t like it, stick around a millenia or two, it’ll change. IT WILL CHANGE, daily, but trends take much longer and what effects it, AIN’T US. That big ass glowing orb 97million miles away has more effect on our weather than we EVER will. Just sit out on a bright sunny summer day and feel how many watts are being pumped into your small area of existence, then figure out how much is hitting the suface of this planet. Our planet is a ‘closed’ system in that our resources are here and not evaporating into space (except for helium, it escapes, but very slowly) We kinda-sorta opened that closed system when we started exploring low orbit and stellar regions, but the amount of resources we send out is miniscule compared to what is here,,,

AND the potential for finding resources ‘out there’ we could exploit (asteroid belt mining anyone?) far outwieghs any ‘investment’ we put forth now.

It’s called weather. Any one trying to sell you ‘carbon removal’ is NOT your friend: maybe some delusional chemistry ignorant twit that bought the whole malarky, but not your friend. The real carbon they wish to remove is YOU.

Do yourself a favor, fall into a rabbit hole of Carl Sagan, start with “star dust” and just follow the links. Sagan was enough of ‘one of them’ that his stuff is still easily found, but he was RATIONAL as well (and a pot head to boot, so that made him cool,,,, Go figure,,,,) Read “The Rational Optimist” by Matt Ridley (note: he sorta bought into the whole environmental scheme too, but you can sort out that chaff from the rest of the book.) Educate yourself. Get “Caveman Chemistry”by Kevin M. Dunn, learn a little about those unsee-able things called atoms and molecules that make up this world around us, how they interact with each other and turn into USEFUL things, and how we can manipulate them for our benefit.
