Did some rolling practice today and was sitting in waves relaxing when phone started beeping and booping and
Damn near melted down! That thing was too hot to touch. And holding it by the sides of the case, the water level was half full. By the time I made it off water, to truck and pulled phone from case, she fizzled and the spark of life faded to nothing.
So using old busted screen phone as my backup, moved my crap into a new version, and here we are tellin’ ya about it. Request to BCE to PM me as your number is not in the rolodex currently.

My old iPhone was waterproof. However, out of warranty, I had the screen replaced, and they didn’t mention the little fact that it was no longer waterproof. Ouch. When you look at the replacement price, how you can no longer turn them off completely, can’t remove the battery, they are always listening etc etc etc, I’m re-assessing my needs in a phone. Google maps is incredible, electronic banking is wonderfully convenient, and I love listening to podcasts etc while travelling. But the trade-offs are HUGE once you realise how utterly dependent we have become on these fragile, expensive devices, and the potential risks.

Agreed, I just haven’t found a way to replace it, YET,,, not one that doesn’t cost the first born, a leg and a spleen to purchase that is.
