About that lite posting
Dunno what the issue is, but my connectivity has been absolute shiite the last few days. It could be that Verizon/straight talk merger I mentioned in an earlier post, but something is definitely up. The reason I don’t think its all that, other people have been making mention of ‘slow nets’ and they don’t have the same connections I run; two are ‘hardwired’ in, and they are grumping abouut it too.
I try to post from the hip, seeing how my connections are weak. Maybe my posts are shorter than they used to be, showing the effects the 4 watt flicker bulbs have been having on my attention span, but when I have a 5000 word post, uploads take forever and sometimes get lost to the aether, never to be recovered. (I usually try to hold those long posts until I can get to a wifi spot, but its a PITA when those spots are getting thin on the ground here’bouts.)
The other side of the light posting is ‘what to talk about’,,,, Seriously, I have no desire to shine a light on the FRAUD much these days, mostly due to my apathy of what they are doing, and partly because I just wish it to accelerate and finish up so WE can move on. We know thier ideas are complete bullshit with no basis in reality or human nature, fueled by closed think-tank communications and Marxist trained idjits: that sort of shit can’t handle reality for more than 30 seconds before it collapses in spasms and reverts to the jellified goo it spawned from.
I wouuld like you to take a look at a guest post on Sarahs site. Phantom posted up about bearings, and has some damned good pics of modern windgenerator parts and peices. Pay attention to the size of hte bearings these things require, then tell me how this is supposed to be ‘renewable’. Those bearings are not mass produced, can’t be by the sheer size of the things, and require constant lubrication even when not moving.
Take the bearings that are in my whirligig. Replacements can be found on every road in America and Canada, They can be found in most all parts suppliers because they are ubiquitous to every Chevy alternator since the 60’s. No, my wind-genny doesn’t crank out Kilowatts of power (neither do those monster gennies, if they aren’t turning,,,) but mine has been in the air for 7 years and still goes round and round when the wind blows. Those monsters that Phantom mentions on Prince Edward Ilse,,,, six out of ten are immobile. This, on an island notorious for high winds,,, a 60% cut in power is HUGE, when the replacements have to be custom built: 20′ main bearing with 6″ rollers,,,, Not cheap, not easy to transport, install or maintain,,,, all of which require FOSSIL FUELS,,,,,
Jelly-headed greenweenies with no concept of reality in their mushy little craniums, but oh boy the number of letters after their names tell you how ‘smart’ they are, no?
*sigh*
In all actuallity, those giant eggbeaters are so much government funded cronyism: they were never meant to work, or work well, or for very long. They were meant to line some groups pockets with lots of credits, nothing more. Yeah, they spent a shit ton of money having the things made, but when you start making 20′ bearing races with 6″ rollers, you are making a planned failure. I can’t think of any process (and I may be wrong) that can harden alloys, enough, to be able to handle the strains of such, without being in constant motion in perpetuity. That is not possible with wind. They would have done much better to harness wind by building hundreds of smaller units, using off the shelf parts, and probably saved millions in the process.
But it wouldn’t look as impressive to sell to the ass-hats that hold the purse-strings of taxpayer dollars,,,, More mushy headed idjits with no or limited basis in reality,,,,
If you want power from nature, you can get it; she doesn’t care if you harness things like rivers or wind or steam from siesmic vents, (all of which is actually solar power in some form,,,,) but keep it small and concentrated. These ginormous constructs (to include the megadams) only create more problems and need bigger solutions to make them workable. Green power is not scalable, IMO. Green power is also not ‘reliable’, and needs storage (the purpose of the megadams is storage, not collection, to be fair here.) And THAT is where I think those engineers focused on green power need to direct their attentions, not all these Rainbow colored unicorn eggbeaters, or acres of solarfarm that would look better on the moon than in some field along a highway.
ok, time to get off my soapbox and onto the J.O.B. Friday, not Freeday today, ‘S’alright, needs the FRN’s right now, doing some winter preps and the parts aren’t free. Hatez buying on credit but it gets me what I need now, just takes longer to be able to say “I own it”.jk
more laters, don’t burn the shop down while I’m out.

The connectivity issue could well be the massive geo magnetic protective field has been rather low here of late. Due to the high sunspot and flare activity. Solar ham has been reporting that internet , cell disruption an ongoing issue along with GPS being sketchy. Especially in rural areas.
Don’t know if you follow Ben Davidson over on his web site at suspicious observers.com he gives a daily report at 8am EDT. I also check in with solarham.com each morning to see what’s up there.

I knew the sunspot activity was up: seems like the sun feels meaner heat wise when the spots are flaring

Everything is connected and related. Space weather.com had a piece this morning discussing all the holes that the increase in Elons launches has been allowing a fair amount of extra rads to penetrate. Dunno if it makes much of an increase in temps tho. But the sun is the furnace that creates all energy input.
Doctor Davidson was discussing the other day how the rad increases from flaring affects our minds and bodies too.
