In honor of the ‘post something’ rule, this is the sameshitdifferentday post,,,

not much to talk about since I have been busting bum at the J.O.B. mine and others,

actually, busting my grape would be more apropo statement,,, Knocked a hole in my skullranium yesterday during a gate install. Had the gate propped against the fence while I was working on one of the hinges, turned to look for something and when I looked back the wind had grabbed the gate and tossed it my way and my forhead tried to play catch,,, little gash at the hairline, but like all headwounds, bled like a damned pig on bloodthinners,,,,

shit happens.

today is my usual ‘freeday’ but we are running hot at work and they have the work to keep me going. my ‘days off’ are being determined by the krews: who shows up has more to do with “IF” I am working more than ‘do we have work to do’,,, Reliable they ain’t,,, drives me and the uppers just a wee bit batshit since we have to make three sets of plans ‘just in case’ and even then, there is good likelihood we will need a fourth,,, worst days for it are mondays and fridays but even through the week there is usually one no-show a day. You would think friday, being the payday thing, that all hands on deck would be the standard. NOPES! not with these guys,,,

life in the sticks,,, don’t get it but after 14 years here, can’t deny the operational norm. It’s not just at my current J.O.b. either,,, two other places I have worked, samesame,,, plan for this, run with who shows, Hear that this is much wider spread these days as well, not just a SEKY thing, AND that it has become much much worse since Covidiocy lockdowns happened.

And everybody has hiring signs but no one is hiring.,,, strange things afoot,,, especially considering people like me, my sis. the people that ‘do things’,,, We are always being approached for small jobs outside of our norms,,,, My side of things lately is ‘need to pass’ because I have so much on my plate to keep/Get Buffalo up to par again.. Functional, yes, reliable, in question, Source to ensure second defined, just needs applied. Those things take time.

TIME. SPACE. MONEY. The Holey Trinity of the workin’ man. usually have two, rarely have the third. LIke when I was touring. Had the house (Space) and was making bank on tours (Money) but was never flippin’ home (no time) Or after I retired, had oodles of time but the flow of cash was ‘nottasomuch’,,,,

I’m ramblin,,,, it’s early, but I has to do the babby-sittin’ thing at the J.O.B. again (which is really what leading krews is) and its early March kold out there right now ( will be in the 80’s later, but its 42 right now,,, thats a swing that gets people sick,,,)

Babbysittin’ and then weekendz but likely a working weekend for me. I will get one of the boats out for a spin somewhere (or I won’t feel like I had any time off and that kills a soul,,,) so more laters,,,
