You have crossed into the Twilight Zone,,,,

That feeling yesterday eve as I was going to pick up my dona-boat,,, The same roads, similar weather, the same destination, even getting stuck behind the two Amish Buggies, one loaded with little kids gawking at us krazy techie-types,,,,

Even the guy I was getting the boat from,,,,

I picked up BlueJean from this guy last year on May 21st.

I picked up dona-boat from the very same guy last night.

And the more I look at dona-boat, the more I think

That oil canning under the cockpit area,,, Oh My Gawd is it worse than the pics showed,,,, With her in the racks on Buffalo, she looks BENT,,, Maybe, just maybe, that can be corrected, but WOW,,, I have only seen on worse and it was bent in two from getting wedged on a rock in high water flow. And that bow,,, fire damage did a number on it, for certain. It can be ‘fixed’,,,, with another boats prow section, but whats there is warped and burned through in several places. And what I thought was bondo is actually expanding foam. Not a bad idea since the foam is Polyurathane and is capable of a chemical bond to Polyethalene. And there is some bondo applied to the foam to seal it, but honestly, the damage is pretty ugly and,,,,,

But, I’magonna try before I write this’un off completely and start cutting. Once you start cutting, you are committed.

Its dark out right now, I can post pics tomorrow. (and may decide not even make the attempt to repair when I start pointing lenses on this poor burn victim,,,)
