Not gonna make that meet up,,,,
The man is a paddling machine!!! I figured it would be another week before he made it to Charleston, and here he is, maybe a day out from there. The only way I could make the meet up at this point is to drive all night to get to Charleston, cross my fingers that I choose the right spot to put in for an intercept and PRAY that he has his VHF on while hammering down that send button “Hey Kayaker Mark, whats your location???”(and that we are on the same channel.) (and looking at his breadcrumb trails,,, he is several hundred yards off shore in most cases (smoother water) and a kayak flat disappears from sight after 1/4 mile. Finding him by sight would be the proverbial ‘needle in a haystack’.)
Its a no-can-do at this point,, Oh, I could wrack up some more debt to cover the fuel costs, scrimp and car-camp as needed, miss a day of work on Muhnday maybe,,,
no,,, Not going to go that road,,, I’ll just keep following his vlogs and dreaming of that day I can take a similar journey (and plan accordingly NOW, since he is providing so much information I would have to glean in other ways,,, VERY Valuable information for krazzeeekayakers,,,)
