Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

IF ya gotta boogie,,,

shelter is the second consideration if you find you gotta skeedaddle from your digs. I STRONGLY advise getting out of a bad situation before it gets to be nightmare situation, but I realize not everyone has the means to do so… Especially with onerous inflation eating away at what we earn currently.

If ya gotta boogie, DON’T BE OBVIOUS. Take a lesson from the Rangers of Vietnam: Don’t travel the beaten path PERIOD. Don’t follow roads,,, cross them. don’t follow railways,,, parallel them. DO NOT take the well traveled path. Those are the places oppurtunist’s will be watching. Think Highwaymen of yore,,,,

Think outside the box too. that 2-3 man tent you bought from Wallyworld,,, NEON SIGN!!! Doesn’t matter where you set it up, you will stand out like a beacon. Consider a Bug-out coat,,, As I will describe in a later post.

SO, whats the option. Debris huts.

Can be made in minutes, are warm enough that you won’t need a fire, and are naturally camouflaged. Think Squirrels,,, This little survival trick can even make it so you won’t need a sleeping bag, sleeping pad, a fire to stay warm, and if done correctly. can withstand storms.

Less to carry, hard to see when made: Stealth Camping to the extreme!!!

Get the books by Tom Brown Jr,,, there is TONS of information on surviving the wilds of the world, and staying comfortable while doing so. See the sidebar for two of his books (there is an entire series from basics to advanced skills, but all of the information MUST BE PRACTICED, even if in your own backyard a time or two. Little details that you will find that aren’t mentioned will be obvious in practice. (FYI, Tom Brown survived several years alone in the wilds with only the clothes on his back and a knife. )
