They wanna boogaloo,,,
Temps aren’t supposed to go over 40 all weekend. Stuff that needs doing and money is tight again,,, (not blegging,,, just sayin’) so if I get out, its likely BJ or the ARC on the river, Lizzy is just SOL for the weekend. (she will NEVER see that river on her hull so long as I have a say in the matter. Too much crap that could make a cheese grater out of her hull.) Me be hoping that getting an early start on hours for next week will help an upward spiral again. (and to let you know, I make decent money, but I am still paying off debts from the last two years,,, double and triple payments, hence, money is tight,,,,)(and I say decent money, but thing is, I have no utility bills other than my cell bill. I own my home outright ; no mortgage. so I can ‘get by’ on what the FedGov calls “poverty level” incomes. I am slightly above that point, but reduced hours because we can’t feild two crews (lack of workers) is holding me back on that note. Increased costs of EVERYTHING ain’t helpin’ none either,,,, Funny thing is, I have a spending app, and its been dinging once a week telling me that my spending is over budget,,, yet I am not buying any extra (less actually) and being more frugal with the transportation costs (don’t drive if I don’t have to) but that app doesn’t account for inflation, it just sees the numbers and does its math,,, I feel for those that have the utilities and mortgage chains on them,,,
sleep well my friends,,, I am gonna help myself out on that one tonight and hit a couple of shots before I lay it down. (my sleep is suffering this week. average of 4 hours a night,,,)

Glock 19 has a 15rnd magazine and one in the chamber makes 16. More likely a Glock 17.

Thanks for the correction. I prefer 1911s and not a Glock fan at all so my knowledge is likely faulty. (And a 1911 wouldn’t have needed a mag dump to stop the perp,,, jestsayin’ )

Right on with the 1911! My EDC is a satin nickel Colt Combat Commander, which I bought for the princely sum of around $380(?) in the summer of 1980 (that included a padded zippered rug, 100 rounds, and some cleaning stuff). There wasn’t one in stock, so he had to order it for me. Couple weeks later, I gets a phone call – pistol’s in. HOT DAM!! I think I was there before the phone hit the floor!🙃 Yepper, BIG fan of those big assed flying ashtray type bullets!😁😁 Don’t hafta move that fast to leave a rather large hole! Got some new ones to try out as soon as possible, too.

BTW, really liked this poast! Yer so right on the $$ end. Folk just don’t have a clue about that (at least most don’t). I am also mortgage free, but I still have utilities – and other bills which are easy to do away with. The utilities – not so easy.
I’m so very grateful that I actually paid some attention to those ornery aggravating Olde Phartts when I was a pup – AND maybe MOST important – I actually retained most of it. Even if I would hafta put some semi serious effort into digging it up if I needed to (takes a bit longer when ya only have 2 functional brain cells left, 1 on each side – specially if they’re pissed off at each other)! I absolutely agree with ya that there is no dam sucha thang as ‘useless’ knowledge. I still try to learn as much as I can – even at 69!
Yer also correct about ‘sumthing’ headed our way. It’s so obvious anybody ‘should’ be able to see it – but they don’t wanna take off the blinders. I don’t know what it’ll be, either – but I also think it’ll be a ROUGH dam ride.
Y’all take care,
Mike in FLA.
