Full drysuit, thanks to B and M, it may not be a fully-dry drysuit, but its far more than I have had. Didn’t need it in its full support mode as I never flipped, but thats not the point of it: its insurance, not a fail safe (I am working on a new one, that can be ‘failsafe’.)

and I am disappointed in the trees,,, Down at my place (250′ lower altitude) the trees are going apeshit and blooming all over. Here? nottasomuch,,,, 😦

T’ain’t FLoriduh, where Mark E is paddling, more like what he was feeling as he made is way south down the rivers though,,, The man is made of sterner stuff than I at this point (but then, I have the choice of getting off water because Buffalo is sitting at the put-in. He is thousands of miles from home,,,,)

and I DID have a casualty,,,,

busted my CF greenland paddle. right along the seam on one blade, both sides of that blade. Total collapse, though it did not fold in half, just a serious bow along its length. She won’t be usable until I can make that repair, and I need something more water resistant than the epoxy I have on hand. (I need marine gel for this, otherwise,,,,,,) Yeah, thats why I am no longer on the water,, I had backup (the euro blade in one of the pics,) but euro blades don’t bite the way I like and feel awkward to me now. Good enough to ‘get home’ but not for hauling butt. Kinda like a donut tire on a truck,,, get ya to the shop, but don’t trust it,,,

and I sure as heck can’t tell ya what did it. I think it dinked a rock near the shore, but suddenly she felt all loosey-goosey on the one side. time to fix it, since they no longer make that particular brand anymore,,, and new is running over $400, at least for something NOT chinee crap,,,

while I was on water, the only thing cold was my nose, now that I am off water and sitting next to the truck tapping this out, I’m flippin’ freezing. (no longer in that snuggy drysuit and other gear, just jeans and hoody,,, wonder why I am cold, eh? LOL)
