That secession thingy,,, lets talk
So we have counties in Washington State that want to leave the BLUE behind and go Full RED and help Idaho become “Greater IDAHO”,, I know there have been rumbles and grumbles from other areas as well, Seem to recall just a few short years ago that some counties in Virginny wanted to join up with the West Virginnies, but nothing ever seemed to come of it.
lots of grumbles and mumbles,,,
But what are the advantages?
Well,,, since its been asked, lets discuss the main advantage: Putting the FedGOV back in it’s cradle where it frickin’ belongs. As the arbiter between the STATES, and the Countries of the world, not this Leviathan/empire building/COP of the world thing it has become since 1865,,, Protect the borders, and represent the STATES in world matters, leave the STATES be except in matters of dispute when the Federal level would be the administrator reaching for compromise, NOT CONTROL.
And all of these power hungry STATE Governors would be ‘president’ of their own little country, in a sense. (quick look at European map, and the size of those countries is much more inline with the size of our states,,, I don’t think this was an accident by our founders, just sayin’)
And it would be a whole lot easier to swallow the power structure if the Capitol you had to deal with was only a days travel away: they start getting uppity, and the whole state of pissed off descends on that capitol and fixes it or makes sure that the problem is aware that he/she is about to have Guillotine moment ‘if shit don’t get put right’.
And that whole FED tax thing,,, Yeah, there needs to be some money to run things, but it does NOT have to be this gun to the head, pay up or else crap. States can choose to tax or not at their level (KY has an Income tax, TN does not,, Watch which way the people are moving,,,, TN peeps come to KY if its close for the lower sales tax, but the KY peeps go to TN to work,,,, and don’t always come back,,,,). The STATES could then decide how best to support that Federal Beast.
Hell, This is ALL ALREADY PLANNED OUT, if we would just stick to the script instead of allowing these power-hungry jackals free rein.
Really, at this point, the only thing that needs to happen is for the STATE Governors, ALL OF THEM, decide to say “To hell with YOU!!’ at the FEDGOV and withhold all the Tax Revenues they collect for it. Recall ALL of their States Gaurdsmen (and abolish/absorb the NATGAURD ).
The FEDGOV would rant and rail, threaten war etc etc etc, but
It’s not like they have any actual concern for the goings on of the states as it sits now,,,, Other than as a way to power. They couldn’t care less so long as those revenues continue flowing in so they can launder it through proxies and make bank for themselves.
AND WE ALL KNOW IT AS TRUE!!!!
There may be a few ‘honest’ CONgress Critters on that hill, but they are far outnumbered and have no effect in the long term other than acting as a cooling rod in a nuke chamber.
2/3rds. Thats whats written into the Constitution. 2/3rds of the STATES saying “FUCK YOU, we keep the money here till you fix this shit and get back in line” NO new Constitutional Convention needed either, just get back to the words ‘as written’ and stop the hijinks.
WE aren’t going to fix this by ‘hiring’ some new PRez, that gets stonewalled by the unelected aspects of a bloated and overgrown FEDGOV. BUT, we can fix it by our STATE GOVS slapping the shackles back on the beast. And it doesn’t need to resort to violence to happen.
TL Davis has this “Autonomous County” project he has been working. That a great place to start, but honestly, until the State Governors start acting like the People the Founders intended them to be, the FEDGOV will continue to walk all over the people of this country, milking them like cattle and playing games with chemicals and abuse. We can work the counties, and the counties can work the State Capitols, and THEN, maybe this will turn around.
OR
Putin can nuke 20 major Cities and this country will become 80+% conservative in the pop-flash of released canned sunshine. (hint to those conservatives still trying to ‘save’ cities like LA and NY,,,, you may want to get out now,,,,)

I am in frank agreement with the idea of secession, though the logistics of working all the pieces parts to make it function is a hell of a challenge (trade, access to borders, military distributions, treaties etc).
The issues I think about are a bit disheartening. No one with power gives it up (rarely I guess). The multilayered Leviathan has deep and branching roots to near infinity. And if we accept that we have a Corporatocracy, perhaps even a fascist state (merger of state and corporate power per Benito); consider their (corporations) power knows no state or regional boundaries in the traditional sense. Perhaps over time this might be overcome with boycotts and such, just dunno.
Then the issues of Governors. When the Gubbna of GA is hanging out at Davos….not thinking dudes like that will be on board. When former Gubbna Haley of SC decided we were getting rid of the raaayyycist confederate battle flag, lets just say she showed her true colors. I could go on but you get the point.
The overreach of the fedgov has far exceeded its constitutional mandate for a long time….go back to ole honest Abe. It simply went nuclear in the last 100 years or so, and presently is just insanely out of control. It needs to be sharply culled back to the original intent/description as you describe. But then we get back to that pesky power issue. Evil people don’t change. I do believe they are stupid enough to pull another Lincoln given the actions we see daily now that are detached from reality. Too hungry to control others lives lives, and either to stupid or too full of hubris to realize that there will be a reckoning.
All that being said, I too believe think local act local is where it must start if it is to have a chance of success. I have seen some small successes locally but the same battles come right back. Part of that is from the contamination of “free” federal monies and the greed of the locals, whatever their claimed political ground is. The rest is mostly stupid, lazy, or apathetic people.
And finally, just who are the top globalists driving this and how do they get culled?
As usual, I have lots of bitchin here, not a lot of solutions. I am however willing play, all the way to last inning.

“I am however willing to play, all the way to the last inning.” HUZZAH!!!! maybe that there are few of us that are, but it didn’t take a majority to win our Revolution’ either. May not be the fighter I once was, but I can be a logistic bonus and secondary line of ‘trouble’ for those that wish total control. Tip of the spear? more like the shaft that holds that tip.
As for my ‘solutions’, we already have them, but as you point out, power doesn’t not like being out of power. There was only one case where the General that led the Coup did what he said he would do “get the country stable then step down after the first election cycle” Sorry, don’t recall his name,,,,

and I meant to add “its ALWAYS easier said than done” especially with the DAVOS/SOROS/WEF snakes that currently occupy positions of standing
