Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

tripped over to Marks Locatoweb site and  ummm,   What in the heck are ya thinking/doing Mark?

possible answers.  1: He’s hoped a boat other than his Kayak to cross over to Cedar Key area 2: He’s flipped his wig and is making a long run across lots of saltwater to shortcut a longer shoreline run. 3: Is doing part 2 and his App is not getting signal to update his location and he is MUCH further along than it is showing. 4: combination of 1+3

Dunno, but doing some google-fu on maps, from his start point to Cedar Key is 128 miles, straight shot. That ain’t happening in a kayak, not in one day, and not without serious support and possibly a sail rig. The guy that ‘kayaked’ across the Atlantic was in a special built boat that allowed him to lay down, had storage out the wazooo for food and water, It looked more like a section off a large catamaran instead of a kayak. Mark is in an NDK Explorer and thats pretty typical run of the mill expedition seakayak, and yes, could handle that sort of crossing, WITH A GROUP,,,, not solo,, unless someone is feeling suicidal,,,

comments are noting that he is moving faster than normal and one suggested that he is taking a ‘piggyback’ ride,,, Lord I hope so. Maybe he did some math and needed to move on down the coast a bit to catch up to his deadline.

I am going to guess that he is hopping a ride. Mark may be a bit nutz (like me) and kayak 6000 flippin’ kilometers but I don’t see him tossing his life away on a suicide run across the Gulf of Mexico just to take a shortcut. And things I have heard from the Everglades 300, the winds can send a kayak MILES across the Gulf with a quickness and the paddler not be aware of it unless his GPS is rigged to alert to drift. I remember they recovered one paddler a few years back, 15 miles off shore, dehydrated as hell and delerious but alive. and he had been missing from his check in point for over 24 hours.

Anywhoos, I needed a break from creative writing, and now its back to building a story about an AI that is currently AWOL from my head,,,,
